So, I gather most people get 6 or more rounds in in an hour game. So if only 4 rounds go by would you guys see this as stalling?

Community question and input is greatly appreciated.

It goes back to the same urging I hear over and over again: Call a judge over early.

It can rarely (if ever) be ruled after the fact. You have to call a judge over and basically SHOW the judge how slowly your opponent is playing.

There is also the question of perception. It always feels like the other player is playing slower than you are. This is sometimes a false perception. While you are busy thinking of your move, it doesn't feel as long as while you're just sitting there waiting for another player to make there moves.

I've actually had several situations where I was playing a high activation squad (Seps, imps, etc) against a low activation squad, and they were the ones playing too slow. The problem is that with squads like Lancer or Stealth N Blue - the strike range is so great that it often paralyzes opponents. They keep thinking there is a way for them to be safe, and they may not be.

I think if anything, encouragement for the eventual loser to play faster (NZ system) is better than punishment for the winner.
