This is a bit more hypothetical as I don't think it would really come up currently, but if you have Willing to Serve (Counts as a follower for purposes of allied commander effects) does that mean you would no longer count as a Commander for CEs that affect Commanders? (Like Imp Gov Tarkin?)

Maybe not so hypothetical. Couldn't Aric Jorgan fall via Betrayal to an Imperial squad?

Sounds like he would be both a Follower and Commander so would benefit from both at the same time.

I don't see how you could be a follower and a commander at the same time. It doesn't say "Counts as a follower for purposes of allied commander effects that would normally only affect followers." It says "Counts as a follower for purposes of allied commander effects." Period. So to me that says you could benefit from "allies" CEs, and you could benefit from "followers" CEs, but you could not benefit from "commanders" CEs.

Much like Independent Outfit, Willing to Serve does not prevent a character from being a commander. Think of them like Cyborg, where you are both a droid and a non-droid.

Thank you much Sithborg!

It is an Ability I do like and I hope we see more of especially on Troopery Commanders (and it seems made for Clone Commanders)
