This Question is in regards to the Dark Side/light side:
Can characters with Affinity for Dark Side, that are normally Light side (or Vise Verse), count as Dark Side for Purposes of Squad Building?
IE: Mas Ameda, and Atton Jaq Rand. And to A Lesser Extent Anakin the Chosen one.
I am on the fence weather this would work or not because of how affinity is worded, However On the Other Side of the Fence this is not a format that follows normal Building rules.
This is an event at gen con this year. So it is Kind of important.

My understanding is they can be either. I think I saw urbanjedi post about it in the Gencon thread.

Characters with Affinity
If a character can be in one of the factions (via affinity) it can be on the squad
Some Examples:
Mas Amedda. Can be Dark Side because he has affinity for Imps
Jagged Fel. Can be Light Side because he has affinity for New Republic
Jaina Sword of the Jedi. Can be Dark Side because she has affinity for Mandos
