In a tournament setting, is required that you have the specific miniature displayed on the V-Set card?

No. It just has to be clear to both players who is what. People often play with custom minis, for example.

I only have a relatively small collection, so if I want more than 4 of something, I'm pretty much limited to Geonosian Drones, Stormtroopers, Mouse Droids, or Rodian Brutes. My Stormtroopers see a lot of action, they often get to be Naboo Pilots or BX Commando Snipers.

Ok. I just didn't want to go buy multiples of a certain miniature when i already have the numbers to use a different proxy. Question though, do you have to use the same sculpt or is it ok as long as it is a multiple of the same named miniature?

Just as long as it's clear to everyone involved. The judge will decide if there's a dispute.

Generally, as long as the shooter/melee is clear and you aren't doing anything unintuitive you should be fine.
