When it says, "line of sight, ignoring cover", in regards to the 60 point damage of fire support mission, does that mean the ability basically is like accurate shot in that you can pick any person you can see for the ability even if other people are in front of them or are partially hidden by a wall and such?

Yes, but it's even better than Accurate Shot.

With Accurate Shot, you can target them even if they aren't the nearest enemy, but they still have cover. So they get +4 defense. And based on the wording of the abilities, Accurate Shot will "see through" Stealth, but not 'super stealth' or Cloaked.

"Ignoring Cover" means the target does not have cover at all, so no +4 to defense and super stealth and Cloaked have no effect.

---
Edit:
The sentence above is incorrect. Instead, it should read:

"Ignoring Cover" means the target does not have cover at all for purposes of targeting, so super stealth and Cloaked have no effect. Characters still get +4 defense for being in cover during the attack.

But, it's not an attack right? So you do not role the die, you just target an enemy and then they role for the save of 6, right?

Not sure that is accurate. "Ignoring Cover" applies to targeting, not attacking. So when using any abilities that make an attack, the target, if in cover, would still get +4.

In this case it would not matter because this ability doesnt attack. However it would matter with light saber throw 3/5.

Thanks. I was incorrect. Sniper ignores cover provided by characters for all purposes, and I erroneously transferred that logic to the "ignores cover" abilities.
