They are jus other characters like any one else. Nothing special or special rules about them.

It's an event at Gencon. You bring a 200 point squad and play against a defender playing one of the two released pieces. If you defeat that character, you keep the card.

that pretty much sums it up, if anyone wants to pick up the gencon edition of the cards, contact myself or engineer as there are extras available.

Oh, one other thing. Technically, the cards released at this year's GenCon are not tournament legal until they are released as part of a set (these will be released with v-set 7, I believe). However, individual TOs can decide to allow them.

Is it 200 pts versus 100 pts, or does the 100pt character have a squad with him?

The defender also has a 200 point squad, built around the 100 point Bounty Hunter Challenge character.
