Do all tournaments allow v-set cards? Also, if WOTC or some other company every started to make more miniatures for this game (not sure how likely that would be) based on the new movies coming out in the future, would the v-sets still be used?

The three areas I know about that have a large number of players and a tournament scene are:
USA - v-sets are used in all the Regionals, and at the National tournament at GenCon.
NZ - v-sets are used in all major tournaments (we have a pool of around 50 players in New Zealand, and normally have between 15-20 people in our major tournaments).
Europe (France/Germany) - only used in some tournaments. They end up having to do things like banning some pieces or limiting activations to keep the game interesting, since the pool of good Wizards pieces is quite small.

Very unlikely that the game would be picked up. If it were one of these would happen:
* Act like Vsets never happened. * Allow all existing Vset and WotC pieces to try to draw in the existing players (i.e., well, us... the people who cared enough to stick around). But then have an almost immediate power *leap* to nerf pretty much everything.
Option A is far more likely. And they might not even allow WotC pieces, even if they licensed the whole game.
