A Dude on a site about another miniatures game asked this question:

I've recently been getting back into Star Wars lately, and finally decided to give this game a try!

My friend and I split on a 12-booster case of the initial set "Rebel Storm", which came out quite a long time ago.

I was debating buying the "Ultimate Missions: Rebel Storm" pack that comes with maps, secarios and tiles...but Wikipedia lists that the only tournament legal versions of the maps that came with the set, were released much later:

Tatooine: Mos Eisley (Updated League Prize ONLY, Ultimate Missions: Rebel Storm version NOT tournament legal)

Cloud City (Updated League Prize ONLY, Ultimate Missions: Rebel Storm version NOT tournament legal)

Is this similar to Heroclix, where the oldest maps don't feature colored terrain designations that were introduced in later expansions? Because if so, I will still probably buy the pack l;ater for the scenarios. However, for the time being I would find a more up to date map.

Also, I tried Googling to find the most up to date rules that were in existence before the game was discontinued. Apparently, that is the "Clone Wars" starter rulebook. There were a few more expansions released after that set though, so I would assume that somewhere online there is an even more extensive power glossary than the one feaured in the Clone Wars starer. Is there any more rules information beyond that in the Clone Wars starter?

Any help figuring this out for me would be much appreciated!

I'm going to send a link to him for this thread.

Who knows, maybe he'll sign up for Bloo over this!

The maps in the Ultimate Missions book do have terrain lines, but some were added in the later versions of those maps. Stairs is one major addition of terrain lines - maybe something else, too.

If they like scenarios, I like the UM:RS book, but really just for the generic scenarios in the back.

Clone Wars is the last full rulebook update. Later sets had glossary inserts that just added new definitions to the glossary.

Ha, Sithborg actually ninja'd me on that thread on HCRealms. It did remind me that there is still a bunch of stuff that I need to re-upload to SWMResources. I was hoping that the new FAQ would be finished quickly, but since it still hasn't been done I figure I should upload the slightly older FAQ and Glossary and other important rule stuff.

Yes, please do upload the old versions, though you may want grab the PDFs of the glossary/FAQ that I cleaned up and added bookmarks to. (on my file share)

We really should keep the final WotC/Nickname documents accessible.

Hey, Big Sexy! Good to see you on this site also.

I have an extra Tattooine league map with the corrected markings. Let me know if you/he want it. Come to GameHoleCon and you can have it. Come to Kryptonite in Janesville, and you can have it.

GameHoleCon = WAY too far

The sad thing is that the Ski/Snowboard season starts in the next month for those of us who make money off of it.

I'll be crossing the Cheddar Curtain on a weekly basis if not more often. But it's all work and no play for this guy. Money's tight.

A big thanks to everyone helping out on this site and the other one.
