I need a lot of minis to complete sets.

Is it better to buy complete sets, boosters, lots, or individual minis?

Also besides eBay where is a good place to buy minis?

Best bang for the buck is large collections on ebay. But if want to complete sets and you don't mind duplicates of commons/uncommons, just buy booster boxes - especially for the later 40pc sets. You get all but 4 pieces out of one booster box in those sets. Then you can buy the other 4 individually.

abprices.com will comparison shop for you at several big online retailers.

Just to clarify about the bolded, underlined part: That is one case of boosters. A case is a box of 12 boosters.

Agreed. Though, if I HAVE to have a specific miniature (generally only low-end rares, as I don't like dishing out 3-4 bucks for a common/uncommon, and don't want to pay loads of cash for VR's, I prefer to get them in lots), I buy them on CoolStuffinc.com. They offer .99 cent single-miniature shipping (and also, they always send in toploaders and gigantic Ziploc bags it seems, and I hoard shipping materials Drool. And, if you order bigger things from them, they go OVERKILL on the packing-peanuts LOL).
