I'm looking for some specs about this ability...
In the Glossary, it says 'This ability is not cumulative with repeated blocks'. Does this mean that if you reroll it, it doesn't work on the reroll?
If the above is NOT true, does Mettle effect the result (meaning, if you have CG18, with Mettle you only must roll 14 for it to take effect)?

My initial reaction to your question was that the "cumulative" part could be in reference to the -20 damage you receive from a successful CG save. Not sure though.

^That could be. It made note of that again in the glossary though, so I'm not sure.

It means that once the -20 is applied you cannot use it again to give the enemy -40 Damage
