Here are the Rules:
1. The character must be cannon and from the chosen faction. They can have affinity, but the character must start in the chosen faction.
2. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)
3. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hardLaugh )
4. Please rate the characters in this contest, however don't be so base as to 1 bomb the other characters in this contest. This is a friendly contest, just have fun, be honest and do your best.
5. Voting will look like this: "I rated so-and-so(A) an 8, so-and-so(B) an 9, and so-and-so(C) a 7. My vote goes to so-and-so(B). (this vote counts as 1 point) Please feel free to comment on why you made your choice, (what you liked) or not and just put your scores.
6. Too make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must vote for all characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.
7. The character that is rated the highest in the Bloo Milk rating system will receive a bonus of 2 points. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive (for example: so-and-so(B) received 3 individual votes and received the bonus 2 for being the highest rated character for a total of 5 points)
8. you may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline (from Tuesday-Thursday you may get advice and change your character accordingly) Friday at midnight before any votes are casted is the deadline.

The schedule will be like this: Monday the winner of last weeks CCC will announce his choice for the character (including his faction), from Tuesday till Friday characters can be created/updated but on Friday you must have picked one character to submit. Then voting will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday until 4, Monday night the winner will be announced and the next character picked.

My entry:
Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master 42
Hit Points: 130
Defense: 20
Attack: 12
Damage: 20

Special Abilities
Unique
Melee Attack
Double Attack
Intuition (Once per round, after initiative is determined, this character can immediately move up to his speed before any other character activates)
Ataru Style (+4 Attack if exactly 1 enemy is within 6 squares)
Deflection (This character gains +3 defense against attacks from non-adjacent enemies)

Maverick (Suppresses enemy and allies special abilities, Force powers and Commander Effects that modify or affect the initiative. This character and allies effected by this character's commander effect, are not subject to any other commander effects)

Meditate (Replace turn: gain 2 force points and remove 10 damage, may not be used to exceed starting force point count.)

Force Powers
Force 4
Surprise Attack (Force 2: Once per round, after initiative is determined, this character can make an immediate attack)

Ataru Stamina (Force 2, usable only on this characters turn; until This character's next turn he can move both before and after attacking, ignores enemy characters when moving and can make extra attacks at any time during his movement. The Ataru Style special ability grants it's bonus regardless of how many characters are within 6 square while this force power is in effect)

Force Spirit 4 (If this character is defeated, immediately add 4 Force points to an ally with a Force rating; that ally can spend Force points 1 extra time per turn for the rest of the skirmish)

Commander Effect
Followers within 6 squares with a force rating gain Intuition

"Don't center on your anxieties obi-wan, keep your concentration here and now where it belongs" "but master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future" "but not at the expense of the moment be mindful of the living force young padawan" "yes master" - Qui-Gon teaching Obi-wan Kenobi

heads up for a Typo in the title of the thread, for Maverick it should be powers that AFFECT not EFFECT.

Hmm... I'll definitely try to put something here. I think though, that if we want to 'save' the contest or whatever, because of the lack of entries, a MORE popular character (Yoda, Bane, Luke Skywalker maybe... Andy? Razz) may be in order. Something like we started with: A major fan-boy character (Revan). Qui-gon is nice, but definitely won't draw as much interest as those other examples I think.

There's characters more popular than Gui-gon the Gammorrean Republic Relations Officer of the Underworld and adopted brother to the house of Jinn?

I'm personally a fan of the lesser characters as it really helps one develop as a stat designer moreso than the fan favorites ever will.

It's just a fun reference to the typo Andy pointed out.

Love it ThumbsUp

I agree with both arguments, lesser known characters are great to help folks hone in on nuisances. BUT I think every few weeks a big character really helps. It keeps people who might have dropped a few weeks because they didn't know much about the character (me) coming back and thinking "I KNOW I can do something with this guy/gal. What era do I want to focus on...how do I make this interesting." And I think that second part is the important part, you have such a wide variety of aspects you can focus on doing big characters can help you develop as a stat maker just as much a lesser known character, by either making a broad version or a very nuisanced version.

True, probably. I had asked for some input as to which more popular character I should pick and Qui-gon was the only one that got a suggestion.
I'm not looking to 'save' the contest, just draw some more people back into the contest with a character they both are more familiar with and feel more comfortable about creating. (welcome back Andy!) Qui-gon fits those criteria. Plus I already had a good version of Qui-gon already made so no extra work!Tongue Woot

Confused

I'm also confused by this. What does it have to do with my typo? (maybe I'm to tired to figure it out)

No idea. Besides there's really no point in busting chops over a typo. And I would like to point out that I picked Qui-Gon out of the list of characters you put up. And then mysteriously it became the CCC.ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp nice choice. But if I win? AT. AT.

No Busting of Chops intended - as I said was just making a silly reference to the typo, which then caused confusion.

Anyway Here's my Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi

Willing to Serve because he was most definitely willing to serve the Republic... HIS WAY which is where Defiant comes in. Mettle and Alter for how he would use the force to sway fate when the need arose.

His CE to make the CS Jedi much more playable (and works nicely with WOTC Obi-wan, Padawan - crit triggers 2 extra attacks, and he's priced under the Vset version that has UTF), which stacks with Master Yoda as long as the second attack granted by Yoda's CE triggers Qui-Gon's.
