Looking through the character usage, the 28 point Republic/New Republic Jedi Battlemaster has only be used in 11 squads ever, but it's got a bunch of handy abilities - Djem So, Brutal Strike, and some direct damage.

Quote:
Hit Points: 80
Defense: 19
Attack: 10
Damage: 20

Special Abilities
Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
Double Attack (On turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
Affinity (May be in a New Republic squad)
Djem So Style (Whenever this character is hit by a melee attack, make a save of 11. On a success, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker.)

Force Powers
Force 3
Brutal Strike (Force 1, usable only on this character's turn: This character's attacks cannot be prevented and enemy characters attacked by this character cannot use special abilities or Force powers that respond to this character's attacks for the rest of the turn)
Force Push 1 (Force 1, replaces attacks: range 6; 10 damage; push back target 1 square if Huge or smaller)
Lightsaber Block (Force 1: When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
Lightsaber Throw (Force 1, replaces attacks: Attack 1 enemy within 6 squares)

What's a 200 point squad that makes good use of these?

--Outside the Box Jedi Battlemaster--
48 Luke Skywalker, Galactic Hero
29 Winter
56 Jedi Battlemaster x2
25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight
23 General Wedge Antilles
16 R7 Astromech Droid x2
3 Mouse Droid

(200pts. 9 activations)

They have Block built in, which makes them a good candidate for a Winter defense squad. This squad has its obvious counters (anything that has unavoidable damage), but lots of chances to avoid damage from attacks.

47 General Skywalker
44 Master Yoda
33 Captain Rex
28 Jedi Battlemaster x2
9 R2
8 Mas
3 Uggie

They each get two attacks at +14/30 on the move. Rex is an awesome shooter as always, and Yoda can use force defence. Does anyone know if Yoda's CE works with lightsaber throw?

Something like this could be OK?

--Jedi Battlemaster--

47 General Skywalker
33 Captain Rex
28 Jedi Battlemaster
27 Lobot
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
5 Rodian Diplomat
3 Mouse Droid
(200pts. 8 activations)

I just played mine against General Skywalker/Quinlan Vos/new Aayla and won. Brutal Strike makes the JBMs, um, brutal. 60 damage on the move doesn't seem huge, but when it's unavoidable you have to watch out.
