Ok, so I just came from the new Thor movie and throughout the entire thing I kept seeing Star Wars. Im not talking some crazy fan conspiracy. I saw Star Wars throughout the ENTIRE movie, heres some examples. May contain minor spoilers Asgard looks eerily like Naboo The asgardian castle looks just like the imperial castle on coruscant The bad guy has Malak in his name Who later winds up looking like Darth Sion And his right hand man looks like Darth Krayt Our hero gets his hand cut off in a volcanic ashy looking place Queen Amidala her self was in the movie The swords flash light lightsabers when struck The atrocious (what ever you call the abomination krayt looking dude) holds up a soldier by the neck and lifts his feet of the ground and it cuts back and forth in a similar way that Darth Vader does in episode four In the end there is a Zeltron (pink skinned lady) The scene with the ship crashing through the castle looked exactly like the sith ship crashing into the jedi temple in a 'Star Wars: The old Republic' trailer -The aline star ships sound just like star wars ships The Funeral Scene Looks just like padmés funeral scene Any one else notice anything like? Or am i just crazy and picked out extremely specific similarities between the two?

WHAT! Thor gets his hand cut off! What is he! Aquaman! By the way, has anyone seen the new Captain America Trailer? It's the Winter Soldier! Bonus for anyone who knows what that is!

Surprisingly, that is pretty accurate for Jack Kirby's Asgard.

Having read the entire Ed Brubaker (Fallen Son: Death of Captain America, CA Reborn, etc.) run, I for one predicted that the Winter Soldier would appear heavily in the second movie (alas, it's about him!) the moment I saw the first movie. Then, I saw Ed's name (and Steve Epting, the main artist in the EB run) in the credits (special thanks section). I knew it!

If so, I predict this will be the best marvel movie, hands down.

Brubaker read the Winter Soldier script and said it was perfect. A higher seal of approval you could not receive.

Brubaker isn't exactly in the position to either be the most unbiased or truthful. Just remember, Geoff Johns had a lot of input into the film that took a LOT from his work on Green Lantern.

Brubaker didn't have to say anything he doesn't work at Marvel anymore, Johns is a company shill through and through. I trust Brubaker, I don't trust Johns (and frankly haven't liked anything he has written since JSA.)

It definitely felt Star Warsy to me. The sound effects of the ships seemed to be exact duplicates of Star Wars ships in fact. And the costumes that some of the soldiers that Thor was fighting evoked that vibe as well. I imagine this was all on purpose for 2 reasons: Disney wants to show the world that they can make a Star Wars movie and this was a tiny sample of that, and I think they really wanted the new Thor movie to really open the Marvel Universes galactic community more to kind of set you up for Guardians of the Galaxy.
Also Kursed looke like Darth Krayt.
