Let's say that I have a character with a CE that permits activation control (Dondonna, for example). How does my activation control work while one (or more) of my characters are not subject to my commander's CE? (Due to Disruptive or another reason.)

If that is unclear, how about the following situation?:

I have Dondonna and two Elite Rebel Commandos. My opponent has Kyle Katarn, Jedi Battlemaster. One of my ERCs is within Kyle's Disruptive bubble. I activate Dondonna. I now want to use his CE to permit me to end this phase after only activating him (one character). How does this interact with my ERC that is NOT subject to Dondonna's CE due to Disruptive?

Alternatively, what if I choose to activate my ERC that is in the Disruptive bubble and move him adjacent to Kyle. Am I allowed to end the phase using Dondonna's CE, counting the ERC as one activation?

Dodonna's CE would only be disrupted if Dodonna himself was in the Disruptive bubble.

Correct. The commander is Dodonna, so if he is within 6, the effect is disrupted. The beneficiary is "you", meaning the player. Since you aren't on the board, you can't be within 6 of the character with Disruptive.

Ok.

Then why does it specify that Savage and Droid characters are subject to the CE, if the beneficiary is the *player*?

Hm. Good point. Maybe just to clarify? I was just reiterating what's been explained previously.

Just clarification text. Just like the (including this character) is when a CE refers to "characters in this squad".
