I've been throwing around the idea of selling off my collection. What does a full collection of all 16 sets go for? I'm thinking I have around 4000+ minis (used to buy around 5 cases of each set).

Didn't want to post this in the Trading section as I haven't decided if I'll be selling or not.

Edit: I also have Ultimate Missions, Map Packs, the AT-AT/Endor/Hoth/CW packs, etc.

From what I remember, people were tossing this around before, and it was deemed that they are worth at least around a couple thousand bucks based on ebay sales for complete collections. I don't really know to much about the value of the entire thing myself.

The larger the collection, usually the harder to sell. Not many folks are getting into this game, and the ones who already are don't need a whole collect. HOWEVER, fantasy flight recently released a new star wars RPG, so, that might help you sell off the collection as a whole. I would assume, all together, you might get $400 max ( I just don't see that people are buying huge cash sinks like this... if you look on ebay, none of the larger lots have any bidders). You could maybe make a little more if you sell each set on its own. You can always put up an ebay buy-it-now or best offer and see what people offer you for it.

ebay is a bad place to sell it. Something that large would fetch you a better price at one of the re-sellers like Miniature Market. The smaller you can break it up, the greater your overall take would be. But of course the more boxes you have to ship.

I think it would go for well over $400. Individual sets sometimes go for $100 or so. I'd expect it to go for $1000 or so, but that's still a lot less than he would get if he sold it set by set.

===

Edit: Actually, probably well over $1000 for a complete run. This one went for $711 and it's nowhere close to complete:

But again, you'd do better selling individual sets or probably even selling to MM.

Yeah, and we ARE talking 4000+ minis, with over a hundred Very Rares.

I should have read more carefully - in my mind I was just thinking of 1 of each figure. For 4000+, it would probably go for even more considering he has every single chase piece.

I'd pay $1400 cash/PayPal for a complete collection of all 16 sets. No idea how much more you could get, but that should give you a floor to work with.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. I was wondering why everyone was estimating so low. Easily thousands I think. I personally would up Von Bickle's example offer right now, if my parents would let me lol.

While I've never sold a SW Miniautre since I'm still collecting and buying them to get a complete set, instead of looking at what people are selling them for, since anyone can sell anything for any type of amount they feel they are worth, you should look to see what ppl are buying them for too.
