Here are the Rules:
1. The character must be cannon and from the chosen faction. They can have affinity, but the character must start in the chosen faction.
2. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)
3. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hard )
4. Please rate the characters in this contest, however don't be so base as to 1 bomb the other characters in this contest. This is a friendly contest, just have fun, be honest and do your best.
5. Voting will look like this: "I rated so-and-so(A) an 8, so-and-so(B) an 9, and so-and-so(C) a 7. My vote goes to so-and-so(B). (this vote counts as 1 point) Please feel free to comment on why you made your choice, (what you liked) or not and just put your scores.
6. Too make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must vote for all characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.
7. The character that is rated the highest in the Bloo Milk rating system will receive a bonus of 2 points. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive (for example: so-and-so(B) received 3 individual votes and received the bonus 2 for being the highest rated character for a total of 5 points)
8. you may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline (from Tuesday-Thursday you may get advice and change your character accordingly) Friday at midnight before any votes are cast is the deadline.

The schedule will be like this: Monday the winner of last weeks CCC will announce his choice for the character (including his faction), from Tuesday till Friday characters can be created/updated but on Friday you must have picked one character to submit. Then voting will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday until 4, Monday night the winner will be announced and the next character picked.

So to give people some flexible options for Kyle Katarn you can pick whatever version of him you'd like as long as it is canon, Rebel Agent? Go for it! New Republic Jedi Master! All yours! Imperial Stormtrooper Officer in training? Sure! Some kind of Fringe gun for hire running around with Jan Ors? You can surely try! I love Kyle Katarn so I'm super excited for this!

Am I going to say I didn't try and do back to back Luke Skywalkers? You'll never know! But you all know. My shame...my eternal shame.

Also no hesitation this week, this is my entry

Kyle Katarn, Jedi Operative. Kyle working for both Luke and Mon Mothma doing what the NR or the Jedi need him to do.

My version: Kyle Katarn, Jedi Strike Team Leader Thios is Kyle as a Jedi Battlemaster, Jaden Korr's teacher and as a leader of the Jedi Strike team that tried to Assassinate Darth Caedus.

NR seems to be the theme so rather than going with my imperial version I submit Kyle Katarn of Sulon

AndyHatton's Kyle Katarn, Jedi Operative 9
An excellent representation, but I think it is just a little under-costed after seeing Jaina Solo, Sword of the Jedi, but she has GMA.

CerousMutor's Jedi Master Kyle Katarn 9
Very similar to Andy's although without melee than I think he may be a little more under-costed.

Deathwielded's Kyle Katarn, Jedi Strike Team Leader 9.5
Jedi Grenades is great as is the CE.

Lord Ball's Kyle Katarn of Sulon 9
Rough Justice is neat, a lot of attacks coming out of this character!

Saber1's Kyle Katarn, Jedi Master 9.5
Really good representation with the teaching aspect.

As you may be able to tell by my ratings this is a hard choice, but my vote goes to Saber1.

Here is my ratings:

AndyHatton's Kyle Katarn, Jedi Operative 9
Shields 1 and Recovery 20 are both great fits for Kyle.Throw on all of his defenses and he just won't die easily. (Die Hard anyone?) Everything fits for the character, though IMHO I think he has too much going on defensively... Disruptive could even be dropped since Jan can give him Distraction, though all the other New Rep Kyles have it so why not?

CerousMutor's Jedi Master Kyle Katarn 7
Force Tutor is a good escalation of Light Tuter. Grenades 40 being reused for another Kyle? *Blah* Force Renewal 2 is to much for a Kyle Katarn IMO. Surprise Move is good, but he doesn't need Master Speed with that...
Hey, are you stealing my Lightsaber Attack Special Ability?Mad Angry I don't mind if you want to use it, letting me know would have been nice...

Deathwielded's Kyle Katarn, Jedi Strike Team Leader
My very own version.Wub

Lord Ball's Kyle Katarn of Sulon 8
Force 2 doesn't seem like enough for a lightsaber wielding Kyle Katarn. Blaster 20 with Rough Justice could be good, if only he could use his Melee attacks first then shoot... Otherwise I don't care for his current selection of Replaces Attack SA's.

Saber1's Kyle Katarn, Jedi Master 9.5
The CE is great as is Blaster 20, Force Bond and Leaping Assault. Lightsaber Defense + MotF2 + Mettle and throw in Melee Duelist to the Mix and we got a hard to hit Jedi Master! I wasn't a fan of giving Kyle Renewal 2 and still aren't but it does help create a defense master in the NR (like GOWK and Zhannah, though more balanced) I thought Lightsaber Trainer at his cost would create a to powerful squad,b ut his high cost actually prevent that from happoning, well done!

Gungan Batman Clone's Kyle Katarn, the Outcast 8.25
Stealth fits Kyle since the enemies rarely see it coming Sneaky A Triple shooter is a refreshing. Force Renewal 2 seems like too much to me. Also he probably doesn't need all of those Force Powers and could drop one or two. Add Gen Wedge, TBSV, Jan and a Czerka or R2-3PO to get him twin and watch those 6 shots fly.Wink

Saber1's is the most similar to mine, but honestly after careful consideration, I think his is the best balanced out of the lot and will earn my vote.

AndyHatton Kyle Katarn, Jedi Operative - 9
An excellent stand Alone Kyle! Perfect catch from the game, really nice job again from Andy (he has a knack)! The flavour text is great too.
Saber1 nailed it with the squad, fun to play. I’d throw Luke GH at him for GMA to make him a real pain, Jedi Fett! Mooohahaha

GBC Kyle Katarn, Jedi Outcast – 8.5
Solid set of abilities. I like the base 10 attack and lightsaber characters, had to read up about Jan Ors for Cam, nailed it. Shields is spot on, good squad all rounder here!

Deathwielder Kyle Katarn, Jedi Strike team Leader - 9
Stand alone Power house here, only legacy Strike team version! He’s not going anywhere in hurry, with Jaden dancing around. Hands out a lot in his CE but has to be the sponge. Nice lead from the front style.

Lord Ball Kyle Katarn of Sulon - 10
Excellent for 38, Haunt him to get him up to full speed but his strength is that he isn’t reliant on being a ‘Jedi’.
Blaster, grenade, Rough justice, Melee; rinse and repeat. Very fitting for the character, and rather beautiful.

Jedi Master Kyle Katarn. -Meh
My version, went thought a few changes. Mobile (Surp for 6; speed for another 6, all on top of his normal 6 ThumpUp Thanks to Sabre1 and Andy for the clarification of Stacking and MoTf.).
Triple-shooter (wouldn’t be Kyle without guns and grenades, did have Thermal Det, changed to grenades to lower the cost)
Lightsaber Attack inspired by someone else’s ability (don’t know who, sorry * edit: A very sore Deathweilders by the looks of it).
Costed to work with Luke Galactic Hero, (and Mara Jedi Knight) to really be a nuisance. Force Tutor is to boost NR Jedi, as in representing him as a temple master and for his strike team escapades.

Sabre1 Kyle Katarn, Jedi Master – 10
This is like the other side of the coin of mine! We had similar ideas all along the way here. Granted, Sabers were not as soft and spongy as mine, excellent character capture. He can help a lot with his LT and CE, some nasty match ups here! We know what it does and it does it well.

@Deathweilder, Sorry.Blushing If you had read in the comments on my piece, I said I'd modeled LA from someone elses ability, but could not remember who made it. Harsh score as a result I take it? Also not to Crit too much, but if your scoreing is reflecting the use of Force Renewal 2 on him? I am slightly puzzled.

That aside, vote goes to Lord Ball. Good price, good abilities, could be a very nasty piece in the right squad

Kyle Katarn, Jedi Operative by AndyHatton 9.25
The special abilities all look good, as do Force powers. My only concern here is 21 Def/Melee Duelist/Shields 1/LSDefense. With only 100 HP @ 60 points it isn't bad until you factor in access to VCA6 via Vergere and/or Leia's rerolls. He can become quite a tank. Unsure without playtesting whether it is too powerful.

Jedi Master Kyle Katarn by CerousMutor 9
Force Tutor is a cool idea but completely outshines Anakin Solo's Force Meld. I like Leaping Assualt (used it myself) but F3 with FR2 is a bit of a stretch. As a big, spendy Kyle w/o melee, this is a unique piece in the contest.

Kyle Katarn, Jedi Strike Team Leader by Deathwielded 9
Djem So/Twin is always a fun and powerful combo. Force Link is a cool and limited way to give Kyle Renewal. Jedi Grenades is intriguing, though might benefit from a tidier rewording. The CE is cool, but he is very light on damage output for 68 points.

Kyle Katarn of Sulon by Lord_Ball 9
I liked Rough Justice far more on Koon. Other than that, I like this piece. 120 damage output is stout (Jan Ors or Talon Karrde). Rerolls for Dark Temptation make it a bit safer (Leia). I'm glad he is melee at his damage output level.

Kyle Katarn, Jedi Master by saber1
No comment.

Kyle Katarn, the Outcast by Gungan Batman Clone 9.25
Jan gives him Opp for 60 damage at range or 90 adjacent. He makes Jan better, not that she really needs it at her cost. Shields and a healthy amount of HPs gives him durability and the Force powers all make sense. FR2 might be a bit much on a Kyle in this stage of his development. Also, as I mentioned on AndyHatton’s piece, Shields 1 with access to Vonduun Crab Armor 6 from Vergere might prove to be too powerful. Finally, with 10 damage, he can gain Twin which leads me to believe he is priced too low for his potential.

This was another tough week to judge as each piece was very solid. In the end, my vote goes to AndyHatton.

AndyHatton, Jedi Operative 9
on his own he has somewhat low damage output and high survivability, but those both only get much better when properly built into a squad. The decision on just how to compliment him could offer very dynamic squads at his cost.

Gungan Batman Clone, the Outcast 8.5+.25 = 8.75
This one feels a bit of an odd duck to me - there isn't really anything wrong with your selection of abilities or anything, that said I guess the name fits my feeling so you get .25 bonus points!

CerousMutor Jedi Master 8.75
I'm unsure as to whether Master Speed be combined with the movement provided by Surprise move and Leaping Assault - if so he becomes a Force expensive, but very effective deep strike character, if not well that's a shame...

DeathWielded, Jedi Strike Team Leader 8.5
Jedi Grenades has the same issue for me as another ability you created (Smoke Screen I believe), in that targetting an unoccupied square while it would be useful is such a deviation from the established rules that at this point I don't think adds enough to warrant such a drastic change. I think I'd like the second part of your CE more as an Ability something like Strike Leader (whenever this character activates you may designate a door adjacent to any other ally as open. that door may not be closed). As a CE it doesn't feel right to me.

saber1, Jedi Master 9
He's like a combination of several entries (a good combination at that). Lightsaber Precision with Blaster offers some decent ranged Damage and if they get close enough Leaping Assault will be their downfall .

Saber1 gets my vote.

I did indeed read the comments, I am slightly hurt that my SA was partially used without permission, but I was mostly joking. I'm glad someone liked the SA enough to try to use itSmile
I rated your character lower because of the unneeded Renewal 2 in addition to the unneeded Surprise Move. Granades being reused for another version of him also slightly impacted his cost. Force Tutor is a good SA thoughThumpUp I may have overreacted and gave your character a lower score then was necessaryBlushing

Thanks for the feedback! I do like the "targeting an empty square" idea and thus have used it twice. The Create Cover FP (Smoke Screen) definitely needs that to work properly, the Jedi Grenades however, could go without that effect, but I wanted to represent the increased accuracy of the Jedi throwing their grenades. (BTW I always thought that Grenades and Missiles should work that way) I like that Strike Leader SA idea! I will change change the CE and create that SA. TX!
