I really like this piece, and I've seen it do well at 150 points in the otherwise Daala dominated HaweraCon, so I'm keen to see what people think are the best squads with him? As a recap, Drallig has: Quote:Republic Hit Points: 120 Defense: 21 Attack: 15 Damage: 20
Cin Drallig, Jedi Battlemaster
Special Abilities Unique Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies) Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving) Greater Mobile Attack (Can move both before and after attacking. This character can make extra attacks even if he moves this turn, but he must make them all before resuming movement.) Lightsaber Duelist (+4 Defense when attacked by an adjacent enemy with a Force rating) Lightsaber Trainer (At the start of the skirmish, after setup, choose an ally with a Force rating and a lightsaber who costs less than this character. Also choose Shii-Cho Style, Makashi Style, Soresu Style, Ataru Style, Djem So Style, or Niman Style. For the rest of the skirmish, the chosen ally gains the chosen special ability.) Parry (When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11) Soresu Style (When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
Force Powers Force 2 Force Renewal 1 (This character gets 1 Force point each time he activates) Brutal Strike (Force 1, usable only on this character's turn: This character's attacks cannot be prevented and enemy characters attacked by this character cannot use special abilities or Force powers that respond to this character's attacks for the rest of the turn) Lightsaber Precision 2 (Force 2: +20 Damage on next attack) Lightsaber Riposte (Force 1: When hit by a melee attack, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker)
Commander Effect Followers with a Force rating and a lightsaber gain Greater Mobile Attack.
Designed by Trevor Payton, Gencon 2012 Champion Lightsaber Trainer is a really great idea, Cin's tough defensively with Soresu and Parry, he has some nice attacking options with Brutal Strike and Precision, and his Commander Effect is very helpful too. What makes best use of his awesome skills?

This is doug*platypus's build, which did well at our 150 tournament, holding its own against the Daala swarms. Quote:--Cin City-- 48 Cin Drallig, Jedi Battlemaster 33 Captain Rex 29 Aayla Secura, Jedi Knight 27 Lobot 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
Preferred Reinforcements: (Lobot) 16 Dr. Evazan, Galactic Criminal (Lobot) 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist
(149pts. 8 activations)

I doubt this is competitive, but it makes Dass Jennir into a beast: --Dass Drallig-- 55 General Obi-Wan Kenobi 48 Cin Drallig, Jedi Battlemaster 32 Dass Jennir 21 Admiral Yularen 13 Czerka Scientist 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 15 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist x3 4 Peace Brigade Thug 3 Ugnaught Demolitionist (200pts. 11 activations) http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/132871/dass-dralligIt's been on my 'to play' list for a long time, but hasn't hit the table yet.

I saw that squad when I was looking for Cin ideas just now, and I think it looks cool. At least you can beef up Dass a bit by giving him a lightsaber style.

Here is my first Cin squad: -- The Negotiator (finally used!)-- 62 Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Negotiator 48 Cin Drallig, Jedi Battlemaster 29 Anakin Skywalker, Jedi 23 Jolee Bindo 16 Qui-Gon Jinn, Force Spirit 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 10 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist x2 3 Mouse Droid (200pts. 9 activations) In this squad I finaly use Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Negotiator, who at the time, only was in 3 squads on bloomilk. I imagine a good ally for Cin Drallig would be the Quinlen Vos

There's a lot of great stuff that potentially works really well with him - TFU Shaak Ti, General Skywalker, Ferus Olin, Foul Moudama, and Obi-Wan Kenobi Jedi Padawan all have potential I reckon.

Completely agree with Shaak Ti, JM it's as if Cin was tailor made for her revival. Give her Soresu with all of her melee goodies and she is a formidable presence in the gambit zone. Not the true beat but still vastly more playable IMO.

This is what I've been playing with:
--Drallig's Strike Team-- 48 Cin Drallig, Jedi Battlemaster 47 General Skywalker 33 Captain Rex 29 Aayla Secura, Jedi Knight 27 Lobot 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 (199pts. 8 activations)
I really like having pieces that can do 60 on the move - Aayla can sweep for twin 30s, and Skywalker can put 60 on something, but I do wonder if Cin + GenSky is too much cost in commanders for just one Jedi, even though they're both solid attackers. The other version I've used had Quinlan instead of Rex, but I like the squad a lot more with a solid shooter in there. It's great against Lancer - you can have two pieces with Djem So, and Cin with Riposte.

I like it, GenSky is a great piece by himself without any added boosts, though I'm slightly sad Cin's CE isn't helping much...

Yeah, Aayla doesn't actually especially need GMA, since she has twin. Cin does help shore up things defensively though - he's a tough nut to crack himself (although he's in all sorts of trouble against the big nukes - if Mara with Cunning or Cad with Opportunist get adjacent) and he hands out a lightsaber style to someone else. Giving GenSky Soresu is helpful. But maybe GOWK is a better option for that squad.....
I liked your Cad Bane/Aayla/Quinlan squad too.

http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/132411/whips-and-cinI kind of took another take. Probably dated, but something fun about giving Silri Djem So with the unblockable Lightwhip.

With the Lightsaber style, GMA, and him being a shooter, I think Dass has the most to gain from Cin Drallig of pretty much anyone. The problem is that he isn't good enough to begin with to really shine.

Tim Ballard came 2nd a tournament with Dass earlier this year in a Rebel build:
“Dass Boot” by Tim Ballard (a.k.a. TimmerB123 on Bloomilk & SWMgamers) Dass Jennir Lobot Luke, RC Leia, RC TBSV ERC Crix SpecForce Tech Rieekan Dodonna MSD x2 Map choice: Rhen Var
Dass is more fragile in Rebels (although he does get evade), but with Rebels he gets tempo control and a much tougher source of twin.
