What are some of the best non v-set storm commando squads at 100, 150 or 200? Options

I'm going to be picking up a few of these guys, so I was wondering what else do I need to go with them?

Thrawn (Mit'thraw'nuruodo) is a good start. Moff Nyna Calixte, as well.

They're too squishy to be Top Tier without General Weir giving them Shields. There are lots of ways to boost them (Veers, either Thrawn, Nyna for superstealth), but even so they were only Tier 2 before Weir came. The two Storm Commando squads in the 55 strong GenCon 2010 field came in at 35th and 37th.

These are the two squads in the GenCon Championship in 2010:
55 Darth Vader, Scourge of the Jedi
32 Thrawn (Mith'raw'nuruodo)
31 Arica
17 Storm Commando
17 Storm Commando
11 Admiral Ozzel
8 Mas Amedda

I like Darth Vader, Unleashed with Storm Commandos. His Force Sense lets them target Stealth/SS enemies and he's a decent offensive follower with some range (Lightsaber Throw 5).

It can be difficult to decipher which squads have v-set figures included. There is no way I know to filter out squads containing v-set figures.

I always find him fun, but he would fit in great with them.

One easy way is to look for squads without General Weir. Most v-set Storm Commando squads will have Weir in. Maybe filter Admiral Gillad Pellaeon as well.

I think that requires a MOTF piece to be in the squad to work - it'd be good if it was up to and including, rather than just including.

Go to my collection, scroll down to the very bottom and make sure that Include V-sets in my collection is unselected. Then when you search just select squads I can build. It makes things a little harder if your collection isn't up to date or you are looking for pieces to grab but it helps with the V-set issue.
