Here are the Rules:
1. The character must be cannon and from the chosen faction. They can have affinity, but the character must start in the chosen faction.
2. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)
3. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hard )
4. Please rate the characters in this contest, however don't be so base as to 1 bomb the other characters in this contest. This is a friendly contest, just have fun, be honest and do your best.
5. Voting will look like this: "I rated so-and-so(A) an 8, so-and-so(B) an 9, and so-and-so(C) a 7. My vote goes to so-and-so(B). (this vote counts as 1 point) Please feel free to comment on why you made your choice, (what you liked) or not and just put your scores.
6. Too make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must vote for all characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.
7. The character that is rated the highest in the Bloo Milk rating system will receive a bonus of 2 points. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive (for example: so-and-so(B) received 3 individual votes and received the bonus 2 for being the highest rated character for a total of 5 points)
8. you may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline (from Tuesday-Thursday you may get advice and change your character accordingly) Friday at midnight before any votes are cast is the deadline.

The schedule will be like this: Monday the winner of last weeks CCC will announce his choice for the character (including his faction), from Tuesday till Friday characters can be created/updated but on Friday you must have picked one character to submit. Then voting will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday until 4, Monday night the winner will be announced and the next character picked.

Interesting, she was always mentioned in TNJO but never really fleshed out. Haven't read Legacy or FOTJ yet.

High Council Member gave her a CE because of her role on the Jedi Council.

Deathweilded's Octa Ramis 8.25
Override and Barrage are good, I did something similar but she is way to expensive.

poppins88's Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 8.75
Well balanced and I like the Camaraderie for Counterattack, but Pilot doesn't fit everyone's character.

AndyHatton's Octa Ramis, Jedi Master 9.25
A solid piece with an interesting choice of Fire Support Mission.

Lord Ball's Octa Ramis. Jedi 9
Like you said, a good support piece.

General Grievous' Octa Ramis, Kyp's Dozen Ace 9.25
I like Wingman and the CE and Flight Instructor is cool as well.

saber1's Octa Ramis, Jedi 9
Solid build, another interesting take on Wingman.

pegolego's Master Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 9
A good piece and I she could probably cost a little less but I see how you wanted her to have Dynamic Duo potential.

My vote goes to AndyHatton

Here are my votes:

Deathwielded's Octa Ramis - 9
I like the use of Pilot and Override, and Force Barrage is a cool custom ability. There's not really anything that makes it stand out as a distinct piece from some of the other NR Jedi, but it is still a cool piece anyway.

AndyHatton's Octa Ramis, Jedi Master - 9.25
I love the use of Fire Support Mission since I am always a fan of seeing underused abilities get used more and the reasoning is very clever. Everything looks solid and fitting of Ramis.

Lord_Ball's Octa Ramis, Jedi - 8.75
I think it is a little too simple for my taste, but I like the Synergy idea.

Gungan Batman Clone's Octa Ramis, High Council Member - 9
I like the focus on Piloting abilities (I did something similar) and the choice of FPs.

General Grievous's Octa Ramis, Kyp's Dozen Ace - 8.5
Flight Instructor could have balancing problems with some of the powerful NR and Fringe non-Uniques such as the Wookiee Jedi or the Jensaari Defender. The cost seems pretty low for all she does too.

saber1's Octa Ramis, Jedi - 9.25
I like your take on Wingman, which could make Pilots a defensive force when used with Klat Captain for Evade. It also makes it so Squad Firepower might actually be possible since Squad abilities are usually pretty tough to pull off.

pegolego's Master Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace - 8.75
She strikes me as overcosted. I know you were going for a Dynamic Duo with Kyp, but she needs to do more to be worth it at that cost. Maybe a CE or Camaraderie for Pilots that could help Kyp out?

saber1's entry gets my vote this week.

Votes for this week! ThumbsUp

Octa Ramis (Deathwielded) 9
Not bad. Simple but effective.

Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace (poppins88) 9.5
Very cool version, some creative ability choices here. I just realized I practically ripped off your name with my versio nthat came out afterwards though... Sorry Scared

Octa Ramis, Jedi Master (AndyHatton) 9.5
Very nice ability choices here. I almost used a Door Gimmick, but FSM was out of left field! It works wonderfully here though, and adds a nice flavor.

Octa Ramis, Jedi (Lord_Ball) 9.5
As simple as the name implies, and yet, strikingly it seems to accomplish everything you could have wanted out of such a piece with incredible precision. Strangely, I had almost the same idea with my Synergy...

Octa Ramis, High Council Member (Gungan_Batman_Clone) 9
Gets everything essential across. TB is interesting. She seems like she could be a bit overcost, but the added movement for pilots provided by Intuition could be powerful enough to justify the cost.

Octa Ramis, Kyp's Dozen Ace (General_Grievous) 9.5
Perhaps the most flavorful piece entered here, great design on a character that is difficult at times to translate into a useful miniature. A low cost version, with some effective new abilities. Love the idea of FI, but it is perhaps the only thing preventing a perfect score, as I think a character including an ability of that nature might feature a higher point-cost as well, to be safe. She would be fairly effective attacking as is for her cost, in a GMA Luke squad. (Move 10, swipe for 30 at +16 twice, with Reprisal triggered).

Octa Ramis, Jedi (saber1) 9.5
Some cool ideas here. The Camaraderie could be an effective tool in the right squad. Wingman is a nice counter-balance to the new Kyp.

A tough choice this week, but my favorite is General_Grievous, so he will get my vote ThumpUp BlooMilk

Deathweilded's Octa Ramis

poppins88's Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 8
I think you made her very undercosted. With upto 4 attacks on the move is strong even with only +9 attack. + throw on Counterattack then your opponent really will wish she wasn't adjacent. Counter attacking with Twin is usually reserved for higher costing pieces too. Surprise Attack also makes her very dangerous, with so many attacks on so many different parts of a round she can easily get out 8 attacks in a single round no prob. Aggressive Strategy is very cool, I never have used the CE's that do something similar, but I would use this effect if it was just like this. (though it is another reason she is undercosted) all of those reasons and we haven't touched her pseudo CE/Camaraderie (which really isn't Camaraderie at this point) I think that is really strong for a CE let alone a SA that can't be suppressed. This piece would be game changing good, good ideas but at her cost it isn't a good idea for all of that on one low costing piece.
Camaraderie should be a CE or be weakened and made a SA with a different name. I would lower the volume of attacks she can put out and then raise her cost.
okay anuff rambling, I probably said more for your piece then the whole rest of my voting!Scared

AndyHatton's Octa Ramis, Jedi Master 8.75
Advanced Door Gimmick is a good way to represent her computing skills. cool build with nothing overly powerful.

Lord Ball's Octa Ramis. Jedi 9.5
Synergy +2 is what makes her very good and useful. Not very strong on her own, but a decent support jedi, which was not only your intent, but the intent of the books she was in.

Gungan Batman Clone's Octa Ramis, High Council Member 8.75
Telekinetic Barrage is very similar to my version on it, so kudos. I definitely like the second part of the CE, but the first could be too powerful when combined with speed 8. I would say shes not bad

General Grievous' Octa Ramis, Kyp's Dozen Ace 8.25
I'm a fan of Impulsive abilities at the moment, however I think that will make her alittle too strong. Flight Instructor is cool and acually I would like a piece with that in the future, though the concerns are real and would require playtesting to see if it's balanced. Wingman needs some rewording.

saber1's Octa Ramis, Jedi 9.25
I have really liked your version of Wingman in the past, though perhaps it's alittle strong, maybe choose one character at the beggining of skirmish or limit the defense boost to +3. (but thats just my opinion) I like Yuuzhan Vong Hatred and I really like how you try to make a good Squad ability centered piece with her (might be pretty sweeyt with Anakin, GH) if she still had ADG I would like her even better (maybe drop Intuition for it to keep the lowish cost?)
Though to be fare I think your Camaraderie works alittle too much like a CE...

pegolego's Master Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 8.5
Impulsive Backlash is great. I'm not sure about Synergy +2 being able to give out the SA to other characters... other wise shes pretty good if overcosted by about 10-15 points

Lord ball gets my vote this week.

@Deathwielded - I must admit, I didn't see that she could get out so many attacks. However, I also attempted to balance the four attack offense with 0 Defensive Powers. By the time she gets close enough to Counterattack, at least half her HP will likely be gone, meaning she will only be able to do it one or twice. Suprise Attack and LS Assault can also never be used in a round together without MOTF 2 which she doesn't have and I don't believe she can get. Also, most of the Unique NR Jedi at a cost lower than this one (which did influence my costing to probably be a bit lower than it should) are not very powerful or played often (except for Leia, JK).

I'm not discounting what you said, just providing my rationale for doing what I did. Sorry if it came across as rude or disrespectful, I just wanted to explain my thoughts a little bit.

Poppins, Had I been a better participant this week I would/should have recommended GMA and double attack. Then I think your piece would have been a 9.5 from me and probably be my vote for the week. I'll be back next week. Had a crazy work week and for some reason I've become obsessed with making mando squads with Kelborn/Maul/Boba and the Zygerrian Slaver. I think it's all the Daala talk that has my Magic the Gathering juices flowing to make broken squads out of common pieces. BigGrin

Deathwielded 9
Looks like the boxes are checked, overall very nice version, I'm not a fan of Force Barrage but it works, though it should probably cost 2 FP.

poppins88, Jedi Ace 8.5
undercosted for what she offers changing Twin to double or at the very least dropping her current FPs for something else would go a long way for balance.

AndyHatton, Jedi Master 8.75
Fire Support Mission is an interesting and pretty cool choice. Though I would have liked it more if she didn't have Surprise Move and Renewal just so it wouldn't be so easy to pull off repeatedly.

Gungan Batman Clone, High Council Member 8.75
Telekinetic Barrage is a bit heavy on dice rolls for my taste, I think one roll per for 30/10 damage would've been better and more consistant. Built in Evade is Nice.

General Grievous, Kyp's Dozen Ace 9
Flight instructor is cool, but with all the pilot Synergy available it would definitely require some testing to make sure it's not abusive.

saber1, Jedi 8.75
Based on your list of beneficiaries for Camaraderie I'm not a fan of Camaraderie granting Squad Firepower - I think Kyp's Dozen may be a bit better ability if it granted bonus damage when another with the ability is within 6 over being a "name change" - in which case Pilot would need to be added.

Master pegolego, Jedi Ace 8.75
The second part of Synergy should be Camaraderie, but regardless it's an excellent choice. I'd also suggest dropping Triple for Double and getting the cost down to the mid 30's range - as is she's a bit too much of an investment in a squad for what she offers, but a solid foundation none-the-less.

Deathweilded's Octa Ramis 8.9
Great simple piece, I appreciate you reusing old abilities. And while three saves may seem a but excessive for force barrage, it's also kind of fun haha.

poppins88's Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 8.7
I like the pilot angle but not sure about giving pilot to all lower cost allies

AndyHatton's Octa Ramis, Jedi Master 9
No complaints here, solid piece that is unique and fresh while still not complicating things.

Lord Ball's Octa Ramis. Jedi 8.9
Simple enough piece and a nice space filler

Gungan Batman Clone, High Council Member 8.7
I don't like the handing out intuition, but I like the second part of her CE. Also I think telekinetic barrage has far to many save rolls.

saber1's Octa Ramis, Jedi 8.9
Cool wingman idea, a bit SA heavy but good design

pegolego's Master Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 9
A but overcosted with no defensive abilities but sweet later era design

My vote goes to Pego as I am liking the master era version

Octa Ramis 9
Deathweilded
I like the simplicity of this piece. The price and stats look good. Override is an unusual but accurate and useful choice and I like the speed option. Force Barrage 1 is an interesting evolution of Push/Thrust.

Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 8.75
poppins88
Aggressive Strategy is flavorful and adds some interesting dynamics. Counterattack is a favorite of mine as are Surprise Attack and Lightsaber Assault. My concern is with all of them present on 1 piece for only 28 points. That said, you’ve wisely given her a low-ish Atk rating and no Force Renewal. These mitigate my concerns to a degree. Camaraderie may also pose issues and would prove challenging when designing future pieces as any NR piece with a Force rating can gain all synergies available to Pilots on top of Counterattack. Again, you’ve mitigated much of my concern through cost-limited access.

Octa Ramis, Jedi Master 9.25
AndyHatton
Fire Support Mission is not my favorite ability but it is both useful and flavorful. Additionally, it is a great example of out-of-the-box thinking and deserves kudos. Advanced Door Gimmick is a nice choice. The Force powers are all appropriate.

Octa Ramis, Jedi 8.75
Lord Ball
The stats are pretty huge for only 19 points. Also, this isn’t one of the characters that springs to mind when I think of “Gregarious”. The Synergy and Force powers are well selected, though Force 5 is unusually strong at 19 points.

Octa Ramis, High Council Member 9.25
Gungan Batman Clone
The abilities, stats and price all look good. The Force powers also look solid, though at this price, and for a non-major character I would prefer Force 2 over Force 3. Telekinetic Barrage is a cool new twist on the Thrust mechanic. The CE is potent and better in its current iteration than previous. Intuition would make Pilots a headache with all that speed, providing a viable alternative to Ganner.

Octa Ramis, Kyp's Dozen 8.75
General Grievous
There is some great stuff going on here. I like Impulsive Reprisal, Wingman and the Force powers. However, IR on a minor character with base 20 damage at this cost feels overpowered. Flight Instructor might prove catastrophically overpowered. As I mentioned in the comments for this piece, a Wookiee Jedi with Pilot is a frightening proposition.

Octa Ramis, Jedi
saber1
Could have used 5 more minutes in the oven.

Master Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace 9
Pegolego
Impulsive Backlash is a great idea for this character. Synergy handing out Synergy is a bit odd. My guess is you did so to keep Octa a follower? IR10 is accurate, but perhaps a door control ability might be more useful for a pilot squad. This is a solid melee beat and flavorful DD with her master, Kyp (kudos for the DD attention!). However, she feels a bit light in the NR for 50+ points. My apologies for not commenting during the week. I thought I caught every entry this go-round.
