Can 2 different Special Abilities that provide the same result stack?
Such as Cunning Attack (+4 Attack and 10 Damage and say Deadeye...which just gives 10 damage.) If the situation was available can "Storm Commando" use both his special abilities on a target that hasn't moved for an additional +4 Attack and 20 damage ...or would I just have to settle for the Cunning Attack since it already provides 10 damage?
The reason I ask is there are two "different" Special Abilities that I'm told cannot not stack because they produce the same results... (Recon and Smugglers Luck)

Special abilities with different names stack unless otherwise stated. Flat bonus CE's (attack, defense, damage) do not stack but you would take the higher number.

You can stack the first example.
I'm guessing the second doesn't stack because intitiave modifying mechanics tend to be complicated and don't allow for a whole bunch of overlap to avoid abuse.

So 2 different CE's with different names but producing the same result or similar result..you would pick the higher rated CE bonus to be applied to a character receiving the CE? Did I understand that correctly?

Did I understand that correctly? No. Here's a more concrete example. Example 1: You have three commanders. CE: Allies gain Cunning. CE: Allies gain +4 / +10. CE: Allies gain Deadeye. These all stack. Cunning and Deadeye have different names and you have only one flat (numerical, non-named) bonus. Example 2: You have four commanders. CE: Allies gain Cunning. CE: Allies gain +4 / +10. CE: Allies gain Deadeye. CE: Allies gain +2 Attack. In this example, you would get Cunning, Deadeye and your choice of either +4/+10 or +2 ATK. The flat numerical bonuses do not stack. Also worth noting, it doesn't matter if the flat bonuses apply to different characters (fringe only, followers within 6, etc.) You only get one flat bonus.

While we're on the subject, can a snowtrooper that gains the +4 attack from the snowtrooper officer still get the +4 attack from a Needa reroll?

Needa's +4 doesn't stack with the Snowtrooper Commander's +4.

Correct, although I've overlooked that when describing some of my snowtrooper squads. I don't think I've ever actually made that mistake in a game, though, because I've only actually run Needa with Raxus Primes or Sandtroopers.
