Just some custom figures I've done. Thought I'd share. I'll updated this whenever I have time. First one I have loaded on my PC is an Imperial Security Guard. Just a simple repaint/rebase.

Current Customs so far.

Just a simple tile restructuring from existing maps. Prison Barge "The Purge"

Howdy!
Wow, is that an MDF freehand painted Imperial Insignia base?
That looks neat! even moreso if thats all freehand!

If you don't mind, i've got a bunch of questions to ask a fellow imperial player/customiser,
Those officer figures will be in even more demand with the release of the new FFG minis game line...
on a related tangent, are you going to pick that line up do you think?
I don't recommend picking up the Star Wars Command figures; IMHO they're too big and out of scale with SWMs (they're more scaled to Army Men 1/35-1/32nd scale).

Do you have any of the knight models imperials? If so, what do you think of the pewter and the scale/quality?

many thanks, and a warm welcome to customising!

Hey kobayashimaru!

Actually it's a resin copy made from a mold I made, though now that you say MDF it looks like a MDF too! It's hard to tell in the pics but it's 3D being that the insignia is somewhat engraved in the base, so it has some in depth character to it as well. Ha I've tried freehand on my bases before, but they never come across too good!

I'm not sure if the Imperial or these figures in particular will become more or less popular, if you're talking about the FFG Armada, perhaps the star wars miniatures starship battles miniatures will be. But perhaps it may spark more interest in Star Wars miniatures gaming in general, which would be awesome!! I personally haven't played the Starship Battles or X-Wing miniature games yet.

Yeah I've noticed that the Star Wars Command are a bit larger, I've also noticed there are a few figures even in the Star Wars miniatures line that are a bit larger, for example, 22/60 Imperial Pilot and 18/40 Imperial Engineer. Both seem alarming large for Imperial soldiers being the same height as the Wookie pieces.

I don't own any Knight Models, though I've seen and heard of them. They look absolutely beautiful! However they're quite expensive, I've read reviews stating that the disparity between price and quality are not equal. But I have no idea, personally I like the Count Dooku and Han Solo pieces.

Thanks for the welcoming message, I appreciate it greatly!
