So I thought I'd share some of my own custom work, I'll start with my latest effort General Krell. Enjoy...

Neat! That facial detail: it looks just like him (Pong Krell)! Ridges and the sharp teeth? check! Even the leg detail is there, well done! The costume also looks like pre-clonewars, which adds to the character The only concrit I can think of is, where is Pong Krell's iconic 'tshirt tan' look for his skin? Krell has reptilian lighter underarms and splotchy olive/white complexion moreoften than not... though thats the aggregate of appearances. It'll look 11/10 once you finalize the skin scheme, as it's presently near a 10/10. That minor concrit aside; the standout has to be, besides the facial detail, the lightsabers - they're spot on! Looking forward to the next minis! EDIT: I think there was a photodump spree, so I've edited for clearer context. I didn't have to wait long: those minis are AWESOME! I assume that for the lightsabers they were either donated from other minis, or are acrylic rods? if so... how did you get that nice orange colour... you'll have to BM me with details heh. Solid cuts and paintwork elsewise, the paint is clear and sets a new standard to aspire to.

I love the detail on these pieces! So crisp! Mara Jedi Master and Corran Horn JM are my favorite. (grass, really! So cool)

Solid cuts and paintwork elsewise, the paint is clear and sets a new standard to aspire to. I appreciate the kind words! Pong is not quite finished, as I have a little more sculpting to complete around his transplanted lower arms. Thanks for the suggestion on color pallor, I've seen different shades of his skin tonality and the olive would work better with the copper armor plating. As far the light sabers go, Jak gave me the tip on the 1/16 acrylic rods. What I do is use an exacto blade to whittle the end to the point, it's like flint knapping so it takes time to get the blade to a progressive point. Next I file the base as flat as possible to make a smooth transition to the blade hilt. For the color the lighting was poor when I took these pix, the orange which I assume is on Shan saber staff is actually base yellow with fine red streaks to show a Sith contaminated blade. It turned out great as it has a crackled look to it. The base color blades are Bic markers as they are very vibrant, then use a floquil matte sealer to protect the mini and blade.
