1. with the rebel transport, if you have master kota in one do you count squares from it for repulse?

2. after repulsing in the transport would the transport also be dead since you count squares from it?

3. Pawn of the dark side and a rancor, would the rancor regenerate after being pawned, taking no damage from the pawn?

thanks

You count the Repulse from Kota which would kill the Troopcart and cause Kota to have to make a save 6 or be defeated.

As for Pawn of the Dark Side... It allows one character to take an immediate turn, not counting as an activation and the glossary on Regeneration states

"If this character does not move any distance on its turn, it removes 10 points of damage from itself at the end of its turn. Regeneration can’t raise this character’s Hit Points above its starting amount."

So I would think that since it says "turn" not activation that it would work as long as you do not move your Rancor.

Quote:
Troop Cart
This character can transport up to 1 Large ally or 2 Small or Medium allies who end their moves adjacent to it. Remove those allies from the battle grid; they move simultaneously with this character, have cover, and are considered adjacent to it. They can make attacks, counting distance from this character. A transported ally can return to the battle grid immediately before your first activation of the round. If this character is defeated, all transported allies are also defeated; save 6.

Glossary Text:
This special ability is similar to Desert Skiff, with the following exceptions. Transported characters do not gain Flight, but they do not provoke attacks of opportunity. Count range from this character for the purposes of making attacks or using commander effects. If this character is defeated, each transported character is also defeated unless it makes a save of 6.

Actually Kota would not kill the cart or any other character on there with him, as his force repulse is counted from the Troop Cart and not from inside it.

He would, on the other hand, kill a Desert Skiff, since distance from that counts the skiff itself as the first square.

ETA: Yes, the two rules are worded differently, and Wizards has confirmed that this is intentional.

This post should clear up the Troop Cart/Repulse questions:
http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1115279&highlight=repulse

-the Repulse does affect the cart and anyone else in it (other than the character using Repulse)

-you count the range from the cart, not the character using Repulse

Another reason to double check the Wizo forums when you can't find the answer in the cards, rulebook, rules inserts or the FAQ. (and yes in that order) I do admit there are certain interactions that just aren't covered in any of the sources and that's where the Wizo forums come in a LOT. (note: if it's not from NickName (Jason Tanner), then you should always doubt the source)

Oh...and I've learned that lesson the hard way for sure!

i dont know if anyone remembers but when the cart and kota first came out the cart would take no damage when kota repulsed while riding.

the reason I mention this, hukaberry is right when he says you should check the official sources. Nickname will make a ruling and then later Rob may tell him specifically how an interaction works and then he may change them via one of the official sources. So it is always good to check those
