it seems like there is some talk about how the CE for GMLS is becoming useless with many of the new NR pieces already having renewal? who do you all plan on pairing him with?
corran horn immediately comes to mind, along with wolf sazen and juhani.

Some of the cheap fringe force users pop into mind imediately. Jolee, jarael. Then there's cade, bh for uber force healing. Solo twins would be nice too. Jacen exploding more often is fun at least. Kyp to push sooner. Kyle, bm or even the older kyle with a cerka to give him twin even though he is mostly useless. use the solo twins to bring in rebel han n leia with force points. Mara, jedi. There are a lot of options. Just hard to be competitive b/c of his high cost, so low activations.

Just hard to be competitive b/c of his high cost, so low activations. Kreia becomes a whole lot more deadly too. General Dodonna takes care of tempo control for NR. 9 points is affordable enough to be on any squad. I just cannot get over his high point cost. Unless someone pulls off a miracle with craming characters into some here-to-unseen combo, he is unplayable in the 150 point setting. He may have some application in the 200 point scene, but it's still alot of points to sink into a team for one character. When he is corruptioned and lightninged to death, that is over half of your team right there.

Without a doubt, the new Leia. Dodonna is also an auto-include with Luke, as he is hogging over half your squad up and you will inevitably low on activations.

I'm hoping the first time I play him its with a single Youngling. My LGS's sealed release game is 120 points and that's my hoped for squad.

I definatlly like Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight with GMLS throw in 2 Uggies and a Mouse Droid and theres a 150 point squad for you

Kind of like how Bane was originally scoffed at in the 100 pt format before someone decided to try Bane and 6 Uggies. I don't think GMLS, Leia and Uggies will have quite the effect on 150, but it will be run to some degree of fun and frustration.

Definitely Human Force Adept with that Force Weapon. Renewal gives it pretty much unlimited damage.

I pulled leia int he release tourney and she goes down pretty quick.

in a 200 pt game i did corran, luke, leia and cade. luke failed most of his saves even with the rerolls and MotF 2. still fun.

That's exactly what I played in our sealed. In one match, my opponent was so preoccupied with Luke that the Youngling survived almost the entire time. The little one kept collecting Gambit, and the Renewal was great, he kept making deflect saves against a Stormie and Ranger

I am going to have to disagree. I played a 150 point tournament using GMLS, Cade Padawan, Dodonna, and 2 uggies. I won all three of my games. In one of them, I played on the Bespin map against: GMY The Dark Woman Quinlan Vos, Infiltrator Antarian Ranger R2 Astro R4 Droid Uggy Mas Amedda I won the Initiative on round 3 and ran Luke down the main hallway where his ENTIRE squad was waiting. Ran up giving The Dark Woman an AOO on me (which he missed), and killed R2. For the next three rounds Luke fought the rest of the squad (even with GMY having his Ataru Mastery going) and took out GMY, The Dark Woman, uggy, the Ranger and Quinlan. Luke came close to dying when Yoda got a crit, but I blocked it. Reason why I think Luke can be played at 150 points is because he won't have to deal with as much stuff. Sit back a little to build FPs and he should come out OK (as long as no Vong are on the table). Sincerely, Jester007

GMLS is quite the ultimate beat, but I think a bunch of shooters could still take him down with some luck. I like that squad you made for 150.
