Force Push 5 (Force 5, replaces turn: range 6; 50 damage to target and to each character adjacent to that target, and push back target and each character adjacent to that target 5 squares if Huge or smaller. Huge or smaller characters are considered activated this round; save 16) Can kyp by himself force push anyone from a safe distance, w/ the savage ability? It seems to me that he can't use it if he isn't adjacent, because of the savage restriction, which would then make him do 50 damage to himself. Am I missing something?

No...you got it. Actually, if Kyp is affected by Savage and can end his movement adjacent to an enemy, within his normal move, then he must. You cannot chose to use FP5 instead. (say if you were 5 squares away from an enemy)
However, if you can somehow, cough cough, get him enough force points to use FP5 before he gains Savage, then you are good to use it. I'm pretty sure you can come up with a few ways to boost his FPs.

for the points his Twin /Assult ain't bad- only need 6's to kill Rex or Dash
I've only been able to pull off the Force Push once at the cost of Kyp but planned it well enough to bump GOWK into another multi-attacker

Kyp is a great low-cost piece, and screw the Savage. I'd pair him up as a cheap partner with Grandmaster Luke so he can get in his Pushes without going insane.

whereas rex needs 9's and dash 11's and neither can kill him outright without a crit.

There are plenty of pieces in this game not worth their points. I think saying he sucks is a bit harsh. I get if you dont like him but sucks???? come on!!!

I figured it out!! ok he must end his turn next to an enemy right? so why not push an enemy to you? I think that might work, so he isnt that bad after all(if it works that is)

Actually the Savage is intentional, because if I recall correctly when he used that huge force push he killed himself to

I think that might work, so he isnt that bad after all(if it works that is) Because each square of movement from Push must be further away from the user. This is covered in the TFU rules insert and the glossary. It is impossible for Kyp to use Force Push 5 against a non-adjacent enemy when he has Savage.

OH, I was just basing off of what the card says of move character 6 squares, but I guess I wont be using Kyp anytime soon anyways, oh well another good idea down the drain

Can't you put kyp in the rebel troop cart and use push from that? Can he just catch a ride everywhere in that, and count the range for the push from the cart? And that way he doesn't have meet the savage thing cuz he is in the cart, or does he have to get off the cart when it is within 12 of an enemy and chase them down?

I think the cart has to be adjacent before he activates, hmmm maybe though I dont know.

When the character ends its movement next to the cart, it can get in. Put kyp in the cart before he even becomes savage if you want and he can ride around in that, pushing from it if he has enough force points.

Personally, I would never use Kyp. I might if I had him, but until then not a chance.
