I got word yesterday that Gencon has really screwed up. Like leaving Star Wars out of some of our titles. If you want to find the games our crew is running you have to search SWM Gamers as the Gaming Group / Company. We will try to clean this up over the next few days

I won't be able to make it to Gencon until Friday afternoon and I was wondering if there are any 200 pt tournaments I can sign up for. I see the championships are on Thursday and the mystery map is on Friday morning.
I don't see any other 200 point games to sign up for.

I don't see any other 200 point games to sign up for. No regular format, but there are these to think about: Sealed is 200 (Sunday morning) Team tournament is 200 (Grab 2 friends and each bring a 200 pt squad) Tile Wars is 200

Good suggestions for 200 pt games. I have not had any luck getting anyone locally to play much less agree to go to Gencon and play in a team tournament. Never been a fan of sealed.
Tile wars might be fun. I will probably just leave my star wars minis at home though since my only interest is in 200 point play.

Death Race sounds like the format AceAce described a while back. Running a gauntlet on the Star Forge map. Sorry I don't have a link off hand, but there was a thread describing it a few months back.

Death Race is in fact the event that Mike created where you have to get your minis from one side to the other.
Rak Hunting is more of a dungeon crawl type thing. Each player gets a pregenerated squad, and the goal is to kill raks. Each Rak you kill is worth 1 (pink worth 2) and every time one of your guys die you lose a point (one of the raks you have killed takes its place). Winner is the guy who scores the most points.

Sounds about right unless you want to include Dejarik as well. It uses all the normal rules for minis, just on the much smaller board. You should be able to find 2 other people looking to finish a team with no problem. Last year at both the Royal Rumble team tourney and the regular one (I believe) there were last minute teams forming with people who wanted to play but didn't think they would have teammates. Hate to say it, but I signed up for the X-Wing tournament over this. Is there anyway in future years we could not compete with the other big star wars event? Really wish i could do both.

Really wish i could do both. Kind of hard to do since They didnt know when the X-Wing tournament was. If they would of done flights it would of all worked out. Even if you move it to Saturday like it use to then you deal with IA. There is no winning. When They moved the Championship to Thursday most big events had there Championship on Saturdays but that has changed over the years.
