I have not been able to load either of these pages since early Wednesday. Other issues with the site have cleared up, but not this one. I have tried many different things to determine if the problem is on my end. None of them have worked.
The error page:
64 - Host not available
Background:
The gateway has lost the connection with the Web site you are trying to access.
If you read this and are having the same problem, please reply to this thread so I will know if it's just my account/machines. Perhaps a recent Windows update gone afoul, though that seems unlikely as other sites work fine in both Firefox and IE7.

I can't get to the trades by user/character page. I think that is because my wants are everything I don't have.

I just tried it and everything is working fine, though it took a little longer to load. I only have 30 wants if that makes a difference.

I'd say it does.  @swmimperial130 - Based on the last time I saw your wants matched against my trades, it may be that you and I are causing the problem  Seriously though, I have so many UC/C pieces for trade, there are some VERY long lists being generated for a LOT of users. I am taking out most of these UC/C from my trades for the time being to see if it makes a difference. It's probably time for a recount anyway  . I still think that having the Trades by User NOT load any lists automatically (until the user has chosen filters) would help. However, this may not be easy to implement

@swinefield - definitely right, and filters would be good, such as a search characters page, except for wants, haves, and trades. It must be hard to look for how many of one character that you have right, shinja?

OK I did it. Took out ALL UC/C (except a couple pending trades) from my trades data (not wants). The page loaded up, and didn't take very long at that, maybe 30 seconds. Soooooo, now I see where the issue is. Not sure what to do about it as I really have no desire to maintain a trade thread, but I guess I'll work within this limitation until my wants list has shrunk somewhat. I'm just glad to have the list back

Mine is no longer loading as well and I have not done anything with mine lately. It loaded fine a few days ago.

It has been hit and miss since I edited my trade data.
I have a total of 99 different figs listed in my trades/wants. It was more like 250-300 before. I'm out of ideas...

I've had this problem since Sunday morning. Sometimes I can get it to load after waiting a very long time, but 9/10 times all I get is a blank white page. No error message or anything, just blank. I've also had this problem with the 'Other' section a few times, but it's not as rampant. I use Firefox, and Windows Vista(gah, I hate it!).
Also, I only have maybe 80-100 minis listed combined as trades or wants
Edit: ok, I shurnk my wants/trades by a bunch and got it to work

I am still having the same problem. I have decreased my wants but am still having the problem. This just came up about a week ago, before that even having all my wants it worked fine. I have e-mailed the webmaster but havent heard anything back yet. Any other suggestions besides decreasing wants? I am as low as I want to go (210) for wants.

I don't think that ones "haves" are related to the issue. Your haves do not impact the load times of trades by user or character pages.
The problem has pretty much gone away for me for the time being. I am slowly adding a few UC/C figs back to trades/wants, but I am avoiding putting them all back in for now...

I have very few wants, less than 10. Computers can do thousands of calculations per second, so I have doubts that the amount of data is the problem.
Also, if I have to remove a chunk of my list, I'll just not bother with this site for trading purposes.

Seemed like after the last update I was able to get on twice but now I cant at all again. And I changed nothing in my haves/wants.

Just wanted to post saying that the trades pages are working for me very well now, perhaps better than ever before  Changes to filtering is smooth whereas before sometimes had to revert out to "show all" before setting a different filter.  I hope the issues have cleared up for everyone else as well. Well done Shinja - you da' man!
