Can I use Bombad Protector with Boss Nass' CE if the Gungan is defeated by an attack or special ability?

It does not Specify from a certain Type of damage so it is anytime it would be defeated.

No, as they occur at different times. Bombad Protector only applies to save rolls that are triggered when hit. Boss Nass's CE occurs at a later point (when defeated).
