I'll go ahead and put this up and let people update as they can:
as far as I have heard ATM beat Bill in first round. ATM running Double Swap, Bill running his bobabuck squad. ATM got 3 points.

Wow....I would have thought Boba + Yobuck would have the advantage in the double swap squad matchup. Really surprising that it lost. I look forward to reading a play report about it.

ATM is 2-0 right now with 6pts. ATM is running Double Swap. He has beat Bill's Bobabuck, and he has also beat a NR build based around New Han, and New Boba.
Spryguy is also 2-0 with 6pts. He is running all fringe. His secret weapon? Freaking Wuher. The Wuher revolution is on.

From Matt Spry "So far all fringe has been the right call. There are 2 double swaps, and a bike or Durge squads."

It's not rocket science dude. You can cover 36 squares (24 of that is with flight/wall climber), and shoot for 90 with accurate. Take out whatever commander you want. Game over.

If Bill playing Bobabuck was only able to get 16pts vs double swap....I am a bit shocked. I guess we'll see how things turn out. I took my Skybuck Mirage squad to Wisconsin regional in hopes of going against a Thrawn squad with Boba, but it turned out no one brought him to the tourney. I was positive Bobabuck would be the right call to take out double swap.....guess I might have missed something?

Deri is 3-1 (I think 9pnts but not positive) with his Grievous wheelbike. Tim is 3-1 (9pnts) with Double Swap.

Yeah atm is 4-0, with 12 pts, Spry is 3-1 with 10 pts. Spry got a 1PT loss in his game with atm. My pick was imps to win it all, but then again I thought Spry was running Daala.

I'm pretty sure atm is running Boba with Marn - similar to the build that won the NZ Nationals. Also - if you're surprised that double swap beats Yobuck, you may have missed this conversation from earlier this week: greentime wrote:sharron wrote:I played yobuck at lower hutt graham, i beat double swap in round robin because paul made his dominate save. in the semis he pasted me, and on bothan there was nothing I could do. even if i had played it properly, boba could still take out panaka first round, and mas at the start of the second. I sat down and spent about an hour counting squares on various popular maps and pretty much have to agree with this statement. There literally isn't a safe refuge to put your squishy, vital commanders/auxiliaries on most of these maps. And that isn't a criticism of the maps! 30 squares of movement prior to attacker swapping in is just way, way too much. Against squads it massively outactivates (hey, like Yobuck!) double swap can also bring in TWO anamin scouts, for 36 squares of wall-climbing movement. That literally gets Boba LOS to every single square on almost every single map. For the record, I think it's very difficult to beat double swap if you don't outactivate it, as its range is so huge - best chance is probably Bastila or really heavy rock?
