Took down the old custom thread I had. Created a new one to share some of the new pieces I have been working on. I hope to add some nice higher res images that are not taken in a kitchen with an iphone, but what can you do.

Customs Made (Use [] to quick search pieces)
[1] Darth Maul on Spider Legs
[2] Battle Damaged Grievous of Hypori
[3] Pre Visla
[4] Boba Fett
[5] HuntressNew
[6] Cin DraaligNew
[7] Darth ZannahNew
[8] Serra KetoNew

[1] Darth Maul on Spider Legs
- I had been eyeing the a couple Octuparra Droids from my case for a long long time as a possible target to making a Maul on Spider Legs. After a little creative thinking with fellow custom maker Corranhornsux123 I was able to chop and glue them right. I just took the heads of the Octuparra Droids, split one in half, and then glued them together. For the torso I utilized Anakin of Nevaan since he is such a cheap piece to replace compared to the Mauls. Zabrakian Fringer was used for the head, kind of small, but I lacked a Bao Dur for a larger head, and once painted it became much hard to tell.

[2] Battle Damaged Grievous of Hypori
- I always wanted a gritty looking Grievous to represent him dashing around in the rubble to avoid gunship fire.
- For this I took two Scourge of the Jedi and used the arms on one model, the cape I snagged from Lumiya.

[3] Pre Visla
- He was one of my favorite characters in the show, shame he died. He lives on in this piece though!
- The main body is Jedi General Kenobi, helmet from a Mando Gunslinger, Cape piece from Lumiya, Jetpack from Rex 501st.

[4] Boba Fett
- Self explanatory

[5] Huntress

[6] Cin Draalig

[7] Darth Zannah

[8] Serra Keto

I can respect the awesomeness that these make - though it is sad to see an Octuptarra or two become a reborn Maul (I hope they were 'orphan' minis heheh); even if the resultant Maul is phluppin awesome.
My favorite of this set is, Gen. Grievous.
excellent work - and looking forward to future continued customs - you've set the bar quite high

Any chance of vehicles in the near future?
They're so rare... BigGrin

Fist of all, thank you for the encouragement and kind words! Secondly, if you have anything you would like to see, vehicles or minis, if I have the spares I'll see what I can conjure up within reason.

It is noa-problema;
providing concrit feedback on minis is a lot of fun -
and is something that sets Bloomilk or Lead Adventure.de apart from CoolMiniOrNot, or DakkaDakka, etc...
(the difference in a word?: polysyllabic)

Turning to futures and projects;
on the "How To" thread stickied at the top of these customs forums,
there are some various templates for mixed media miniatures (modern takes on the same kinds as Peter "Tarkin" Cushing gamed)
there's 2D and 2D/3D tokens,
and then...
*shudders*
there's 3D Pepakura/Papercraft the LAAT/i, AT-TE, the MAF/HMP, the hailfire droid, treadwell droids, the Vulture Droid etc.
The links should still work - those are in 1/48th scale, and are not for the faint hearted hehehe.

For the ultimate in challenges, using the templates and some cardstock/plastruct,
it is possible to convert from Paper into plastic, and
make some vehicles (I've posted a few images in the past, though unfortunately, nowhere near enough of the 2010 and 2011 tournaments hehehe)
If rebels era stuff is more your thing, there's also T-Wing, B:Wing, A Wing, Dianoga/Dagger/TiePhantom, Tie Fighter etc
There are also W40K plans, and turrets, along with AT43 and DUST tactics Cyrillic plans.

A word of caution. If you stick with 'paper- papercraft", be sure to laminate, scotchguard or something,
as they're EXTREMELY hydrophobic BigGrin

@all,
I've just had a despondent local, who bought a lot of Star Wars Command figures,
thinking they were in scale with SWMinis or Imperial Assault -
I can't stress enough that, the Star Wars Command figures are scaled more to the Armymen 1:43/1:37 scale...
apologies for the tangent/ thread-derail, and I'll cross post elsewhere BigGrin

Cool update!
Although there's a lot of awesome,
the stand outs by far are Cin and Serra.

How was Serra made?
She looks more athletic, similar to the comicbook depictions, as opposed to other 'svelte' depictions.
Serra backhands a clone trooper to distract them while Bultar Swan and Tsui Choi are able to make an escape,
even if 'the force' is used as a handwave, there'd have to be considerable force to crack the CT's helmet hehe BigGrin

Thanks! I really liked how both came out. And I have yet to update how I made them, but I'll just throw it here for now. For Keto I took that Lord awful Guri and just painted over her, replacing blades with lightsabers. I kind of liked the idea of "swole" Serra Keto haha!

Indeed, Serra Keto is a very "Ripley" style character, a lot of homage to Ripley in the comics too.
Its a shame they killed the character off so quickly though, just so as Bultar Swan could bite the bullet in the Conclave of Kessel issue of Purge...

A lot of folks not knowing much about the Clone War era stuff,
don't realise how diverse the EU was at that point - certainly a lot of different characters there.
While there's a certain supernatural/horror effect to an extreme ectomorph and svelte character
lifting a starship through the force,
it was nice to see an array of physiques displayed.
The more robust jedee probably served a long time in the agricorps or exploricorps (if Jude Watson's or Karen Traviss' syndicated series meant anything).

Forgive a related tangent;
Much as Keto or Bultar Swan were examples of Mesomorphs/Ectomorphic Mesomorphs,
Tahl was of dark complexion with 'yellow-gold "nebulae" eyes' and very fit/athletic (some depictions vary between outright Mesomorph or Endomorphic Mesomorph) ,
and strictly platonic friends with Qui Gon (QuiGon not understanding the long lived Noorian's complete dedication to the Order).
It'd be great to see your take on this character! BigGrin

Any chance of seeing some female antarian rangers or clone troopers?
(I'm thinking, similar to Lily-Wan's female snowtrooper captain) - there's just so few in the minis is all hehe.
I'm waiting for the next batch from WarGames Factory to arrive,
but I'll be making some Female Republic Commandos or some Female Mercenaries.

Thanks for sharing the recipe too by the by
