*Intercepted Transmission from Confederate Command on Coruscant*
From: General Grievous, Supreme Commander of the Confederate Forces
To: Lord Sideous
Subject: Uprising

Lord Sideous,

It is to my distaste that I must report the following. For the sake of any of your new advisors I will include a briefing on the war efforts to this point. As you know, the Clone Wars was a success. Twenty years ago, through your well-crafted plan and my own brilliant leadership as well as that of our noble commanders we took control of Coruscant and other key worlds which cut off supply to Republic forces. And then Chancellor Palpatine's surprise complete and total surrender prior to his execution at your hands officially ended the fighting and allowed us to take control of the world's once loyal to the Republic and expand the Confederacy with you at it's head. The clone virus we unleashed on the galaxy helped to eliminate hold-out cells of troopers and the attack on the jedi temple all but destroyed the order.
Hunting down and exterminating the last remnants of that accursed order have been my sole purpose these years since. And though I have made great gains in this mission, the masters Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kazdan Paratus, Shaak Ti, Rahm Kota all still remain elusive and unaccounted for, at least for now... Dooku insists that the Force and his gang of dark side acolytes that he is training on Coruscant is the key to this goal.Though it is my belief that through the Geonosian Superweapon project: Death Star, we will finally be able to fully utilize fear to root out these last vestiges of the Republic. This station will also be imperative in quelling this Rebellion that has begun to rise up.

It is to this last point that I must now address in detail. There have always been those that have refused to acknowledge our rule, and that have resisted to their own demise. But increasingly of late I have encountered large organized cells of resistance that have wreaked havoc across our worlds in the outer rim. Some of the prisoners I have interrogated have revealed that unaccounted for jedi are behind these attacks, but I also have found some evidence that points to diplomatic ties with fringe elements in the worlds of Alderaan, Corellia, Lothal, among many others. I must now conclude that these seemingly random attacks that are increasing in number and frequency are acts of an organized resistance that only swells its ranks each day that their leaders escape my droid forces.

We can no longer ignore this threat and I move that we push for a rapid completion of the Death Star as well as the mobilization of all reserve droid forces for a campaign to crush this insurgency. I have spoken with Dooku and he agrees, as well as said he will use his agents to unconver the identity of and eliminate the diplomatic leaders of this Rebellion. Our course of action in the next few days should be to resecure the fringe elements that we have allowed to carry on unchecked. These include the Zann Consortium, the Hutts, as well as that information broker on Myrkr. I have also attached several other possible allies that we should consider, or at the very least eliminate and deny them to our enemy. If the Rebellion manages to secure these factions as allies, this spark could turn into a full fledged war that no longer favors us.

I am standing by for your orders Lord Sideous.

Grievous Out.

*End transmission*

*Reply transmission secured in captured data packet:*

From: Lord Sideous
To: General Grievous
Subject: Orders

You know what to do, burn the worlds of our enemies, root out all traitors to the Confederacy, and crush this Rebellion General. And you will have your death star sooner than you can know. It's time we reminded this galaxy of the power of the dark side.

Sideous

*End Transmission*

So for those that actually finished reading this, what is going on? Rebellion Versus Confederacy is the continuation of the "Bloomilk Canon" storyline and previous campaign where the Separatists altered history by beating the Republic. Darth Sideous now sits at the head of the Confederate systems with Grievous as head of the military and Dooku leading a new dark academy on Coruscant as a kind of anti-jedi order. The survivors of the Jedi Order have rallied support and lead a rebellion against the new forces of evil.

This campaign is a series of six games spread out over six rounds in a few months time frame to ensure time is given to allocate troops and play the games. Because all of the games in a round happen simultaneously only one copy of each unique can be used at a time, similar restrictions are in place for powerful non-uniques in each faction. Fringe support is negligble initially but fringe bonuses are unlocked as certain maps are won (i.e. tatooine granting the use of the tuskens to the victorious faction in subsequent games). Games can be played on vassal or in person with results posted to the vassal forum topic. To sign up either post here or in the thread in the vassal forum, include your name, opponent, and side of choice. If we get enough people interested I'm looking to start this campaign one week from today. I have volunteered to lead the Separatist forces (unless anyone else wanted to commit to giving it a go) but we still require a Rebel Supreme Commander who knows the faction well enough to be able to distribute allocations of maps and pieces to his troops. Let me know if you are interested and I can help get you set up. For more rules go to the vassal forum and read the named topic.

These campaigns are a great deal of fun and I think it would be great for the community to get into this battle and breathe fresh life into boards that have been too negative as of late. So if you are with me, sign up below.

Alright I'm in, sign me up for Separatists (I can switch to Rebels if I need to). I'm the only player in Ontario so I'll need to play over Vassal

Updated list, also any Rebel players interested in the position of supreme commander. It involves choosing maps for your team as well as dividing up the rebel pieces to your commanders

Nice Spry! Way to step up! Need any help getting started? And what are thoughts on the start date? Either next Tuesday the 20th or we can wait one more week until the 27th to allow for more players to join up. Still waiting on flyingarrow and andyhatton. I'm hoping some of the NZ crew get wind of this and join up.

Can you be more specific on the restrictions and rules for squad building? I may be interested.

Awesome Verjal, the complete rules thread is posted in the vassal forums but to answer your question here are the highlights to answer your question:

-Each round, the Supreme Commander assigns a set of characters to each player in their faction. Players make squads using only their assigned characters. (Players do not have to use all of the assigned characters – in many cases that would be impossible anyway.)
-In separate posts in this thread, you will find the Restricted, Unrestricted, and Unique lists.

Characters on the Unrestricted list may be used by any player in any combination.

Characters on the Restricted list may be used by either only a limited number of players in a faction per round, or used in a limited quantity per squad, or both. The limitations are specified in the Restricted list.

Characters on the Unique list may be used by only one player per Round. Many characters have multiple Star Wars Miniatures versions. If you are assigned a character that has multiple versions, you may choose which version to use. If a Unique character is defeated in a skirmish, that VERSION of the Unique character may no longer be used for the rest of the war. So if the character has only one version, the character is dead. If the character has multiple versions, the character was injured but then spent some time in a bacta tank to heal.

Each round, the Supreme Commanders decide which players get which characters. Supreme Commanders can discuss these decisions freely with the rest of their factions.

-Players will play standard 200-point games with gambit and with a time limit. In-person games will have a 60-minute time limit. Vassal games will have a 90-minute time limit. Because the map is predetermined, players simply roll for setup. Winner either chooses side or defers. Epic characters are illegal in this format.

Retreat: A player may move a character off the battle grid. By doing so, the player forfeits the skirmish, and all other characters that the player left on the battle grid are defeated. The character that left the battle grid, however, is not defeated. This is a way to keep a Unique from being defeated, even in a loss.

So basically only one copy of each unique can be used by the faction as a whole per round. If that character is killed than that version is gone for the rest of the campaign. You can read the full lists for what pieces are on the above mentioned unrestricted, restricted and unique lists. Any more questions don't hesitate to ask as the more players we can get the better and the more fun this campaign becomes. Here is the link to the rules thread for in depth reading:

And Darth is the 27th good for you? Gives us all one more wek to try to find more players, opponents, and prep time for spry and I.

Ah, 200pt. Well, how about if you end up being a person short and have no fill-ins I'll join to make it even. So if that happens, let me know, otherwise I'm a definite maybe.
