Set vs Set tournament
Clone Strike - Caedus vs Masters of the Force - FlyingArrow
Post your squads and explain why you will win. Everyone else - vote publicly for who you think will win. I'll track votes in this top post. (urbanjedi has the right to exclude votes based on suspected sock puppet accounts.)
Voting ends December 11, 2015, 3:00pm EST (New York time).
=== Currently 5-3 for Masters of the Force. jerjerrod did not vote. Caedus said he conceded but I counted it as a vote for himself, since he was only conceding based on not knowing the map list.

My squad:
--Set vs Set: Masters of the Force-- 65 Master Windu 42 Kit Fisto, Jedi Master 80 Chiss Trooper x5 13 Gamorrean Bodyguard
(200pts. 8 activations) Map: Rhen Var
My opponent's squad: --Clone Strike-- 36 Darth Sidious 34 Asajj Ventress 60 Destroyer Droid x2 32 Battle Droid on STAP x2 9 Battle Droid Officer 28 Battle Droid x7
=== This is probably one of the few squads that I'll be able to beat. Kit Fisto has LS Sweep and Intuition for crowd control, and it will be hard to avoid bunching up on Rhen Var. Kit and Mace will be able to take out Asajj and both Destroyer Droids before falling. The Chiss are +15/30dmg with Opportunist or +11/20dmg without it. Plenty to take out the droids. The STAP strafes for 30, which is horrible for the Chiss, but the attack is so low that they will miss a lot.

Side question how are the maps chosen?

Just pick your map. Describe how you win on it.

I want to see how the Clone Strike squad would approach this fight. My pick would be Master's to win, but I won't cast an official vote until I see the other side.

The Chiss are good but being out activated will make their opportunist happen less. Sideous gets to pawn the Stap for a deep strafe and it's a 50/50 chance of a trooper being wiped out. I think that Clone Strike has a strong chance here. Once the Chiss are down the 20 damage dealing Jedi will have an even match with the destroyers. Except with no deflect they will be taking damage. I think Clone Strike had my vote. I never thought I would say that...

Going just on the strengths of the squads here I think I have to give a narrow victory to clone strike as they would have the opposing squad out activated and I don't know if flying arrows Jedi could close with and kill all the guns that caedus can bring to the fight before they run out of HP. Although the high def. Of the Jedi might let them survive just long enough in some games, I feel like statistically speaking the odds would not be in their favor most of the time so clone strike it is.

I think I tentatively go with Masters. Caedus did an excellent job, and I think it could go either way, but coming down to real threats there is essentially Sidious, Asajj, and two Droidekas against two powerful Jedi. The auto-damage from Sidious could be pretty bad, but the Jedi will smash anything they can get near. Mace will have so many Force points he can burn one moving faster each turn and not run out, and Fisto can close the gap nicely with Intuition. Caedus has yet to post his strategy, so if he posts soon I will re-evaluate, but on Rhen Var the Jedi are in about as good a position as they can be.
EDIT: My vote is officially for Masters of the Force.

I agree that masters will take this. The 10 HP on the STAPs mean they at most get 1 strafe off. If Aurra was around to try and put some pressure on the Jedi before they engage, then maybe I could see CS being able to pull it out, but I don't think that they can fight through the big beefy Jedi.

Large base STAP's can maybe get a number of hits. With Sidious....and maybe some combining fire.

Master's. Troopers can essentially knock out Battle Droids quickly to bring the activation advantage down.

Sorry, I'm late
My Squad
--Clone Strike-- 36 Darth Sidious 34 Asajj Ventress 60 Destroyer Droid x2 32 Battle Droid on STAP x2 9 Battle Droid Officer 28 Battle Droid x7
(199pts. 14 activations)
My Opponent's Squad
--Masters of the Force-- 65 Master Windu 42 Kit Fisto, Jedi Master 80 Chiss Trooper x5 13 Gamorrean Bodyguard
(200pts. 8 activations)
Guys I am really new to the "map Lists" and since I cant find one. I have to concede. I will also concede to my next battle as well. I would suggest in the future that you make visuals available to everyone that way the guys from the old WotC days can join in and not feel stupid. Thanks though for the opportunity
