So now that we have a new movie, a new year and a new Kez, I was wondering if there would be any interest in having an all melee vassal competition. All characters must have the Melee SA, there would be restrictions on the amount of auto damage SA's and no Overide (sorry Givin Black Sun Slicer). I don't mind running it as long as there is enough interest. We could make it a weekly battle thing like the NZ Vassal Comp, or try and get together one day and battle it out like the Vassal Regional. Give me your thoughts!

I would consider doing this! Though I feel like several pieces would have the upper hand.

What pieces do you think are going to dominate? we can always look to limit some of the abilities to try even things out. this is in the planning phase so the more info I get from people, the most fun and fair it'll be.

Off the top of my head

Bounty Hunter Challenge pieces (easy enough to say none of those)
Obi/Ani
Mace
Caedus
Revan potentially when combined with Wryylock
Lancer with GGDAC/Grievous Bodyguard Droids
Possibly Bane
Imperial Knights while not broken could create a pretty serious NPE

So it looks like the majority of people would find a longer form of comp to be easier to play.

Is there anyone else out there that would be keen to get involved?

That works for me too. It'll work along the lines of the other multi-week events in that you get an opponent and then try the best you can to organize a time to play within the week.

I'm starting to look at some squads I'd like to run, but I am still not sure if there will be any restrictions. Are you going to be posting the floor rules soon? Is the tournament going to be set up where we can choose different squads each week to play? I think it'd be fun to pick one squad and see how it fairs throughout, but if we go the route of being able to play multiple, that's going to be a lot of fun to since there are so many good all melee squads out there that haven't seen play for a while due to the shooter meta.
