Hi everyone, I am just wondering how many “Active Player” still here?

Our group play once a few months 2 years ago, but after we purchased the Imperial Assualt in May 2015, we didn't play the miniatures till now.

That may due to the new game take over, but when Star Wars VII is announced, most of the old EU characters are moved into Legend (kind of non-canon IMO). We actually feel less enjoy the game and our group play less than before due to that reason.

So what do you think? Also how often do you still play that game still?

Thanks for reading.

just been playing the REBEL vs CIS lately

before that, GenCon

our monthly SWM that been going since 9-09, has turned into an IA fest.
I'm playing with 2 groups now, and want to do more skirmish!

I have a couple friends that play mini's but we aren't regular. I mostly play on Vassal and the last couple months has been a bit hard to get games in cause of real life issues. I think players get more active in the spring and summer cause regionals come around and then Gencon, so its a rush to find out how the last 2 sets affect the meta. I think this regional season will be a fun experience since the meta has shifted to more balanced squads. Its transitioning from shooter dominant to more melee and the squads that will perform the best will be ones that can build around both.

We play about once a month (I don't make them all) and usually have 6-8 show.

Voted "once per year", this was the sad reality last year, and I'm not even sure it will come to this the current year.
But the game is very alive in my head, was thinking who qualifies as pilot out of my collection in bed last night, before I fell asleep...Sleep

voted 2-3 times a month as that is usually about the norm for AceAce and I, and sometimes others join in as well

I must say that I don't physically play the game as nearly as much I used to, mainly because I've found hardly any players near where I'm going to school and life is just generally busier. I unfortunately only get around to playing a game once a month. I am still very invested in the game and remain active on Bloomilk, making new squads mostly, just trying to keep up with the meta in hopes that I can eventually (fingers crossed) make it to a regional one of these times.

I said 'once a month,' but that's an abstraction. I've been doing the Rebels vs. Separatists campaign recently, and that's bumped it up. I play by myself a lot to test out custom pieces and stuff like that, and a friend and I will probably continue doing Vassal after the campaign, but my group hasn't played for about a half a year or something.

I play a fair amount in the summer, but since moving into college, I just haven't had the time or the people to play with. I stay active here on Bloomilk, but that's about the extent that I can get to lately. I can usually get a couple games in when I go home every couple months.

Our swm games are fewer and more casual during fall and winter then we play (once to a couple times a week) Spring and Summer during Regional and GenCon.
About 4-6 guys in our general area are "active players." We each have a friends who know how to play but are not active players themselves.

I game with some buddies about once a month and hang out here on the site. Been perusing vassal the past couple of days trying to get the hang of it.

nice to see a few familiar names on this thread.

don't play as often as I would like now. play at a club I go to sometimes but its very random whats been played that night. Some times it's a random board game, sometimes heroclix, sometimes an RPG game. yep very random. Lately as far as star wars go's it manly x-wing or imperial assault. Think I have done SWM just twice in the last 6 months. Once with vsets once without.

I haven't played a game in at least 2 years. (probably much longer)

The irony of that is most definitely not lost on me, considering the level at which I've stayed involved in the game otherwise.

Life has been complicated, and this has been my escape. (also music)

Seems fair to me. BlooMilk

2-3 times per month at our LGS, boosted up to 3-4 times/month, with the campaign play, here on Bloomilk. In addition, I run SWM sealed booster drafts 3 times a year at the Los Angeles gaming convention , StrategiCon, which is the Los Angeles version of GenCon, but only 100's of people attend the LA one, as opposed to the thousands that attend GenCon in Indy! I get about 10-15 people that show up for SWM at StrategiCon, and 7-10, that show up to our LGS, once a month.
