If i give the benefits to loda he gets mettle. But how does the rest work out with him having renewal 1 and 3?

no you only get 3, because you already have "force renewal" so you take the better of "force renewal"

check the rules on stacking and that will help explain why you would not get the force renewal that Obi offers. You would get mettle as long as you are within 4 spaces of Obi Force Spirit

ummmm, I dont because I dont think he will need mettle with his 3 saves, but maybe he could be a mini GOWK because of 3 saves with mettle :) but tahn again that would be like 78 points.
