Question: Can pieces that move with Battle Ready open doors. I don't think they can and here is why. Door: This terrain functions like a wall unless it is open. An open door is ignored. A door becomes open if, at the end of any character’s turn, a character is adjacent to it. It remains open until no character is adjacent to it at the end of a turn. Battle Ready: After setup, (faction/subfaction) characters in your squad (including this character) may move up to double speed immediately before the first activation Notice the word "turn". The battle ready pieces are not actually taking a "turn", they are moving out of turn. Only 4 pieces currently have battle ready, but I could see Vong bugs and Nom possibly using this. New Vader and new Jacen have it as well so it will surely be used more often. Thanks for the help.

Doors open immediately before the first activation of the game. So they can't hold a door open for other characters to go through using pre-game movement, but the door will be checked before the first activation and open if anyone is adjacent to it.
95% sure that's correct.

I should have been more specific with my question. I agree with your statement 100%
My question should have read Question: Can pieces that move with Battle Ready open doors for other pieces moving with Battle Ready.

The answer to that would be no. Pretty sure I said that above.

95% sure that's correct. I just double-checked. It's prior to the first initiative roll, not the first activation. So if you setup adjacent to doors, they open and everyone can move through them for Battle Ready, but you can't open any others farther down the map. They don't open until the end of the first character's turn. From final WotC FAQ: Q: If I start the battle with a character next to a door, is the door open? A: Yes. Doors adjacent to characters after setup are open prior to the first initiative roll.

Ah. Thanks. My bad.
But in terms of the origins question, I would agree with the reasoning that they can't open doors for each other.
