Here are the new rules. Semi Ignore #1 since Disney hosed Cannon. but the premise is the same.

1. The character must be cannon and from the chosen faction. They can have affinity, but the character must start in the chosen faction. EDIT: Since Cannon is all screwed up, just a known character is fine.

2. You may update any existing versions you already have and/or create a new one. You may update/create several versions of the character but you must ultimately select 1 you wish to run with. (this must be done by the schedule below)

3. Place a hyperlink in this forum to make it easier to find your character. You can just post the stats or image here but if changes are needed it would be easier (and save space) if you just used a Hyperlink (If you don't know how to post Hyperlinks in a forum setting please ask and we will help you. It's not hard )

4. Voting works as follows, pick your three favorite customs based on accuracy to the character, design, balance or whatever you decide makes the best incarnation of the challenge character. First place receives 3 points, 2nd place receives 2 points, and 3rd place receives 1 point.

6. Too make things fair you must vote in order to win the contest. You must choose three characters entered in the contest and you may not rate or vote for your own character.

7. The character that is rated the highest in the Bloo Milk rating system will receive a bonus of 2 points. The winner will be decided by how many points they receive (for example: so-and-so(B) received 3 individual votes and received the bonus 2 for being the highest rated character for a total of 5 points)

8. you may not change or update the entered character AFTER the deadline (from Tuesday-Thursday you may get advice and change your character accordingly) Friday at midnight [US central -600] before any votes are cast is the deadline.

The schedule will be like this: Monday the winner of last weeks CCC will announce his choice for the character (including his faction), from Tuesday till Friday characters can be created/updated but on Friday you must have picked one character to submit. Then voting will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday until noon [US central -600]. Monday night the winner will be announced and the next character picked.

I might need to remove/change "MOVE! I'm working here" because it could be too hard to balance on a non-unique.

Rebel Combat Engineer

My father was an Army Engineer during the Korean War; he never talked about the war itself much, just what his official jobs were and gave me some of his army manuals. Lots of how-to's about building earthworks, demolishing buildings and bunkers, hunting tanks, and either building or blowing bridges Most of which isn't applicable to SWM's.)

I always thought the WOTC versions of engineers were useless and not worth their price. Real engineers could fight and sometimes do it while doing their real jobs. When I was on the old Customs Boards I created a Mando Combat engineer and a Kota's Militia Combat engineer 7-8 years ago. Instead of reinventing the wheel, I said the heck with it and other than replacing Satchel Charge with Thorium, here he is ...

Here's mine: Rebel Extraction Specialist

As seems per usual for me (Mellow), he's got some great abilities for his cost, but I think he's balanced because the overall effect isn't overwhelming. Any suggestions in the next 4 hours and 39 minutes are welcome. Cost in particular, he's weird but cheap tech, and that can be a Pandora's Box for costing.

The idea is that he helps keep your key pieces safe. If a glass cannon like Han Smuggler gets caught out in the open, or Commando Luke gets based by a superior beat, the R.E. Specialist can Intuition in and Grappling Hook them 8 squares away - hopefully at least closer to help. If that's not an option, you can Cover Fire something so the piece in danger can run away unscathed on its own turn.

He can also get a weak commander like Dodonna away from a deep strike, or if all else fails, he's amazing at running away.

He's priced about right (11-14) but having 3 custom abilities it's tricky trying to figure out what price you give each. I think 3-5 points for "powerful" abilities plus your base stats were roughly 4-5, so 11-14 sounds about right.

Very intriguing ideas CC ThumpUp

@Surf
Is door rebuild supposed to be end of round or skirmish.

Like it says, end of round (wouldn't end of the skirmish/game be silly?)

I think the confusion is "When does it happen" vs. "How long does it last." No "Official" piece has ever rebuilt a door before, and so there is no "Official-sounding" terminology to use... like how there is technically no game term for "Destroyed" doors, they are just considered to be open for the rest of the skirmish...

I took rebuild door to mean that at the end of the round, the chosen door is considered "rebuilt" for the rest of the skirmish.
