I couldn't find a time for Tile Wars at GC this year. Is it gone?

great question jak we've gotta show support for tile wars, it is such a cool format and way to play heheh 'official' tile wars might be on temporary hiatus, yet unofficial tile wars is still going strong. dynamic duos... now that's on a different kind of 'holiday', for reasons unknown hehe. for some reason, it's just not yet caught on as much as the other formats

It was missed.
We were planning on running it, but a mistake was made and it never got submitted. At this point it is too late to submit and get it in the book.
The current plan is to see what interest there is and when people are available, and see if it is possible to add the event onsite.
I have had a suggestion to run it sunday after the sealed, not sure if people can make that time or not.

I vote we still do it.
After sealed on Sunday would be perfect.

Mystery Map is back too, even though it was replaced by Surprise.

I will say again:

Is anyone interested in trying to schedule in some TILE WARS this year?

I'd probably play depending on the schedule. Not sure if Sunday afternoon will work... long drive home that day.
You should just pick a time that works for jak and see who else makes it. (The defending champ should get scheduling priority.)

I will never understand people wanting to leave GenCon early, but ok.
I was just trying to pick a time that people will be around and it wouldn't conflict.
So - any suggestions?

6 hour drive home & work on Monday morning, are some reasons to leave early. I thought it was left out because of poor attendance, we had 7 last year, I believe. I'll check the schedule, and see if there are any other openings.

Maybe Friday evening at 10:00?

Maybe Friday evening at 10:00? Thursday after Royal Rumble could work. (It's supposed to end at 9pm) Friday I assume you are attempting to schedule after Epic? I'm not playing in that one - but I could be there after. Scheduling after epic is trickier. Royale Rumble is only 2 rounds, and likely won't run over. With Epic who knows

We had talked about doing another 8 man tourney this year and it just never made it to the paper.
