After Marn is defeated the living characters brought in through Bribery still have Con Artist and benefit from the enemy commander effect?

Example: Marn is defeated but the 3 Rodian Brutes from Bribery still get Blast Bug from the opponent's WCS CE.

That is correct. Con artist states the effect lasts until the chosen commander is defeated, not Marn. Ran into that against Laura.
