So, I think I know the answer to this, but I want to make sure:

If a character with a non-permanent Force ability is hit by an attack, and an adjacent bodyguard takes the damage, is the Force ability shut down?

I believe the Force ability would not be interrupted, because the character using it was never actually dealt damage.

Am I correct?

You would be correct.

It would be a different story if "was hit by an attack" was in the definition.
