Droids?
did somebody say... droids?
one for the CIS players, hehe.
I can't take credit entirely for these - the locals helped make them, and Phil completed the cards.
Above: droideka, P-series.
note shield X allows per 10 dmg recieved roll a save 11,
and wheel-form precludes being able to use shields until end of
turn, not end of round.
In the right conditions,
the above P Series droideka can deal ~240dmg in one turn, via
twin attack in conjunction with blaster barrage, or more with
double attack from a commander, and a gonk droid...
this 23pt killer can mop up filler,
it is highly mobile, does area denial,
but will not standup to ion fire,
rockets and jedi, for very long.
or, perhaps you prefer your DD flying?
Above: Aerial Droideka.
a flimsy sorta turret.
a heavy variant had 30DMG and Heavy weapon or Emplacement in playtesting,
but that was abusive even with fragile 40.
if you thought lancers were bad,
you ain't seen nothing yet!
A DD that can move quite quickly
with no penalty to shields...
speed 6 default,
but, with less damage output potential,
and an atrocious cost-to-kill ratio.
secure that gambit in style,
flank attack and know
that flying DD has your back.
a variant in playtesting had 40DMG, Heavy Weapon
and Refractor Shield X (for every 10DMG, roll 11. on success, each enemy within 2 squares takes 10DMG as though from a non-melee attack source...)
it was too brutal and 'complicated'
If I can only enter one,
Destroyer Droid P Series is the entry
We're also still working on
the grapple droideka,
mega droideka
and sniper droideka...
