Hey gang. Looks like it has been 8 years since I last posted! WOW
So much has happened.
During my absence a lot has happened in my life.
Biggest would be the divorce about three years ago. When I left, my ex did not follow our agreement and put all of my belongings in the dump. With the belongings was EVERY SINGLE STAR WARS MINIATURE FIGURE, MAP, CUSTOM, and SPARE I had. I went from a complete set (yes.. every single blasted figure) to nothing!
I am debating if I should attempt to rebuild.
My girlfriend, I am sure, does not think I should due to the cost involved. I can't say I disagree. I saw an entire set on EBAY for $5000. Not the kind of money I am willing to invest in this thought.
My old game buddies are telling me that it may not be worth it because it is a dead game.
However, if I had the game, I know that my girlfriend would play it... probably dominate at it.
I am just curious... What do you all think? Is it worth trying to rebuild?
And if so... how should I start... is anyone looking to get out of the game on the extreme cheap?
Please respond

There's always Vassal...and it's free!
There were a few posts on here with members selling sets/collections...might try them. Doesn't seem like a lot of posting going on here, but you never know.
Might try over on SWM Gamers too.
Trying to buy individually anymore is ridiculous! Commons are going for $1-3 depending and UCs are as much as $7 in some cases. The Ultra Rares are pulling $30-70. Good time to sell...but not buy.

Sellers market huh?
Not surprised.
I am hoping to get lucky with this soon.
If I spent $70 on a single fig, I think my Girlfriend would kick me out. LOL. Not that I did not do that before. I remember getting BHs Boba Fett for $65 at Comic-Con

I think the big question here is, WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE A GF!!!
If my marriage ever goes south, I'm batchin' it for the rest of my life. LOL
Sorry about your minis.
My suggestion would be to spend about $150 on some cheaper well known characters (Vader, Luke, Han, Mace, Mas, Thrawn, etc...) and then pick up some cheap fodder. Then hit the printer with some cardstock and Print the cards of any WotC pieces you need. Just proxy them with the cheaper version of the figure or some other figure. Downside, sith will probably be out of the question. They are all way over priced. WotC must have produced about 50% less of each Unique Sith figure compared to others. You can get a cheap version of Mace, Ani, Qui-gon, Obi(clone wars), old Obi, Luke, Leia, Han, Grievous, or any solo/skywalker kid for less than $4 each where Bane will ring up at least $30 by himself.
Anyway, Welcome back!!

I don't think there are any fewer of each Sith figure. It's just that each Sith only got one version (and usually a VR) while the movie mains got 10+ versions, some of which are Rares instead of VRs. Just supply and demand... demand is higher for movie characters but supply is *way* higher for them.
@falcon - where are you located?

you don't have to buy all the SWM's. start with your favorite faction(s) look for deals......... speaking of deals, all the minis on my trade list are for sale at 30% less than Coolstuff.com's retail. I'll even through some freebies in, just to help you get back to playing.
