Looks like two maps carried over from the last list, and they are the two that have been avoided due to being paired with Jedi Enclave. So I like the heavy rotation that is going on there. There are a couple maps there I'm not crazy about but overall looks like a good list. Thanks!

With 10 or 12 I think I can get a better feel for each map and how my squads play on those maps. Without sacrificing to many options for those picky map fellows, lol

Thanks for that visual guide! The two I'm not so fond of: Imperial Plaza and Modular Base Engagement on Imperial Plaza has been slow for me. For both sides, you either start outside and are vulnerable or starts inside and are slow to gambit/engage. My games on that map just haven't been so fun because of that. I'm sure I've played a game or two on Modular Base, but I don't even remember. I just don't like the looks of it, so I never reach for it. The layout, the color scheme, and the looks of it seem boring. And for that reason, I've never looked at it in much depth. I guess maybe I'll play on it a few more times. Who knows - maybe some of the subtleties of the layout will make it my favorite map in the end. But for now it's probably my least favorite map on either standard or restricted. Not that it's necessarily unbalanced or anything (as I said I haven't looked at it in much depth)... just that I'm not a fan of it. I'm still kind of glad to have them on the list, though, just for the sake of variety. Of the new maps, several are returning to Restricted and don't need much comment - I think they're all good maps: Cloud City Command Deck Ravaged Base Bothan Spynet I already mentioned 2 of the new ones I'm not a fan of (but seem perfectly fine for the Restricted list... I just don't enjoy them that much). The last two maps I didn't mention are Simulation Deck and Outlaw City. Simulation Deck was dropped largely because of Caedus and dropping people into pits. With the glossary update to Sith Battle Manipulation he can no longer drop people into pits. But pits are still the most striking feature of this map. A push squad or something along those lines might still be able to have a lot of success on this map, but nobody can abuse it like Caedus used to be able to. Outlaw City is new to the Restricted List and I'm happy to see it. It's one of several that I like to call "Peninsula/Road" maps. A road or hallway running east west with a building of sorts reaching into gambit from the other edge. Other maps with that pattern have been Restricted (Anchorhead, Theed, and Starport District - maybe others), but I think Outlaw City seems as good as those. Happy to see the variety. And if Outlaw City does have some fatal flaw that being on the Restricted List brings to light, then it'll be off just as quickly.

Does this ruling effect the remaining Regionals this year? Are any of the remaining regionals changing the map requirements, or going with the maps that were originally posted for their particular regional? Thanks

That will be completely up to whoever is running those regionals. I'd imagine most will switch to the new maplist since a lot of players want regionals to be practice for GenCon.

Everyone prepare for stage and gallop madness. There are a few on this list that are devistating with squads based on those abilities.

I have 9 of the 10 maps. I have lost/misplaced the "Imperial Plaza" map. Is this map still for sale somewhere? If so, can someone post the link here to purchase it? Thanks in advance

I agree with this statement. I would prefer 2 lists of 5 or 3 lists of 3.

Sounds like Chicago is going lightside and NW OH is darkside.
WI usually just does their own thing.
