The Inquisitors were assigned to find and destroy them. The movements of the Inquisitors revealed the Jedi's existence to the rebellion. Double Agents within Imperial Intelligence would feed information to the rebels. Among this information were transponder codes for transports the Inquisitorum believed belonged to the missing Jedi. It was not long for crime syndicates to find out the same information. The Empire had always paid well for information that led to the capture of Jedi. All of this was of no use as none of the ships had been located. Until now, that is…

Where is the love for the Epics?

I hope to take the time off work, time away from wife and kids, and cost of flying there and hotel ( about $1000 + food, snacks and drinks ), plus mass honey do's and kissing butt to the wifey for a year, for me to go to some GenCon in the future. However, if my favorite format ( Epics ), isn't given the time of day, I am not sure that I would make the trek. It's that much of a deal breaker for me. I absolutely love Epics! Does anyone else want Epic play at GenCon, or am I alone here?

I want Epic play! We just released a new set! The Team Tourney should be Epic format! That would be stellar.

Thanks for the thorough explanation. Sorry I didn't mean to cause unnecessary commotion, but I am extremely ecstatic and passionate about Epics. I totally understand the logic here. Is there anyway we can start a thread, asking people what events they want at GenCon, and even asking them to tentatively sign up on Bloomilk, so you guys can gauge interest?

If possible - can we have the rules posted here, or more in depth descriptions. I think we'll have a better chance of attendance if people know what they are paying money for to play beforehand.

Presumably the judge has to have some printed material to run the event. It would be great to post that here.

Royal Rumble rules

In the past, most Star Wars Miniatures events haven't sold out beforehand (except sealed). We may have less space this year, though, so no telling.

The events that sell out early are customs workshops and the mass battles, but most if not all of the Minis events (the ones Jason listed above) should have a spot available the day of the tournament.

#1 plays #2, #3 plays #4, #5 plays #6. Winners of those three play a round robin. Repeat round-robin until one player wins two matches. At the same time, losers of the first three matches also play a round-robin until one player wins both of his/her matches. Winner of the loser's bracket and winner's bracket then play a best of 3, but the winner of the winner's bracket starts with a free win in their column.

That's the only sensible way to run it.
