Set your alarms - Noon (Eastern) this Sunday.
Get your tickets for events. Some sell out quick. (Most minis events are fine - but it's good to do regardless)
The quicker we fill up events, the better chance we have of getting more slots. It is important that everyone that goes to GenCon buys their event tickets early.

To my knowledge nothing can be done about that other than showing up and hoping someone with a ticket doesn't show. For tournament type events they can't promise anything, but the higher the demand, the better odds that we can get more space. No promises though. Post here if there is an event that you want that is sold out. We need to know so we can get more slots opened (if it is possible)

I'm definitely doing Tile Wars. By the time I got on to buy tickets a bunch of stuff had sold out, but I would definitely do Sealed and probably also Royal Rumble if space opened up (the latter would really depend on how late Tile Wars goes).
Looking forward to it regardless. Haven't played Tile Wars in years, and it was always my favorite of the "minor" formats by a country mile.

Here's my list so far: Champs Casual Tournament Through the Ages Tile Wars
If there were room: Customs Workshop (but those sold out in 5 minutes) Sealed (maybe) Team Tournament (maybe)
I'd do at least one of Team and Sealed - maybe both.
As a side note, I think it was great planning to put the Casual Tournament right after Intro & Casual Play. Maybe a new player or three would want to continue playing and the casual tournament is the perfect spot. But only if there's room for them. Casual Tournament was close to selling out last I checked.

That's a good call. In fact - I will give up my spot if we do run into that. I signed up to promote it (and I think it will be fun) - but if others want to play and there is no room - it's more important for them to play.

Show up at the casual tournament. If we can't get more slots, I will give you my ticket. (Seriously - I was going to play just to make sure we filled up. I will be happy to step aside to make sure others that want to play can do so). You can just give me cash for my ticket if that happens. One way or another we'll get you in.
