I was barely involved on that set. I'm guessing that it follows Force Pull, in which case the answer would be no.
Perhaps the designers can clarify. I didn't notice any discussion of pit interactions in the design thread.

It's the same as Force Pull but deals direct damage instead of generating an attack.

Can we PLEASE get glossary entry updated on Force Choke. NO pits and NO placing enemies behind Kylo Ren. It's supposed to be just like Force Pull.

So you can't place them behind Kylo Ren either? So what is the difference in it and Force Pull? And why did we create anew ability? Instead of just using Force Pull?
