What are the realistic casual events that can happen outside of the casual events at regionals?

What are the plans for the "dead period" after gencon?

I am still waiting for a Fantastic Four Vassal tournie tbh. Should be quick and fun

I think Caedus and Naarkon were both planning to run something in the dead period.

I was actually going to run a melee only tournament and trying to figure out an epic format. FF does sound like it could be fun as well as Dynamic Duos. Also working a 200pt Locked Pair Tourney (you pick the faction at sign up and I give you a story line flavorful pair that you must use in your squad and the remaining points are up to you).

I was going to run a standard 200 point "regional" starting at the end of September. I would also be up for running a shorter event like FF.

Edit: I have never played minis in a sealed format and that could be interesting. Is there any way to do that over vassal?

Those sound fun! Where is the September one going to be held?

Vassal, with each round taking 7-10 days so that the largest amount of people can participate. For any casual events, single day would work for me if a day that works can be found.

Stay tuned for the February/March physical event that I will be hosting in Virginia.

Happy Old Year tournament near Philly will probably be casual again. Format to be determined.
