One thing Force users need is door control.

Here are some videos showing door control

there are lots others.
but we have some serious Wal-Mart auto doors going on.

maybe some doors should be auto walmart doors where they open and close as you become adjacent and than close as you leave adjcency.

Also, since doors are often times opened by a simple flick of the force lots of force users, imo, should have opening door abilities just kind of built in. where they can open or close an unlocked door at the beginning of their turn.

I was actually thinking about how to boost force user movement this morning. I like this idea better than mine, which was just to give them speed 8. I honestly think this deserves a comprehensive rules change, not just a 'maybe add it to the next vset jedi.' Force users should clearly outclass non force users. This is Star Wars. I'll be implementing this as a home rule.

Does your "home rule" play group ever play on vassal?

we would sometimes house rule that a Jedi could spend a FP, mid move to open a door. It would then close at the end of the turn.

Freaking brilliant!
Because the cost of a force point is sometimes substantial but so is getting through a door.
I love this rule

Also can it open a closed door?
I wish manual override had a caveat that said that if manual override was used it can not be altered unless by manual override or the door is blown open.
That way it has more power

That sounds like a lot of fun. I really want to play some games like that :)

The only 2 people that use this ability in your video is Vader/Anakin and Dooku. What about the blast door closing and Qui-Gon having to use his lightsaber? While I agree small doors that lead into interior rooms could be affected like this, large blast doors like the one R2 opened in Empire shouldn't be affected by Force Powers
