Bump for pairings and squad listings. Sorry about the delay.
Edit: I'd like to thank everyone for showing up, but it's clear from my totally unbiased position that Shawn has already won the entire tourney.

So, what is the timeframe for this first round? Do we have 7 days, 10 days, or 14 days?

Vassal dice are fair, despite many people claiming it's streaky. The streaks just result in memorable moments that get picked out of the noise of the rest of the rolls.

I dont know. ask Shmi about Vima. or pnktd2 about Vindicated, or Spry about Durge. the list goes on and on. When the world says its a banana, its probably a banana. but i know nothing of mersenne twister functions as its PRNG, so I am sure you know what you are talking about. All I know is that sometimes you bat .800 and other times you strike out hardcore.

My attempt at a joke added noise to this thread, though less memorable.

WARNING: GRAPHIC PLAY REPORT BELOW
Oh boy. What a first round blood battle. I would like to first and formost, thank Darth_Jim for a helluva game. His squad was blood thirsty, and they took it to me. One of the most fun games I have had in a long time.
We both had Anchorhead as our maps, he won map roll, but I let him set up first. He took the left, and set up in the center, while I set with Kaan, Amanoa and a mouse uo at the top, and Atton, GARY and Revan at the bottom.
Round 1 was positioning. He rushed the door to gambit on his side, and was just out of reach of gambit, I run Revan in and swap Atton in, use a FP to move 2 more squares and try and take out his Blizz. Unfortunately for me he made a Shields save, so Blizz was left at 10 HP :(. I lock the door with Atton, and end adjacent to another door so it would open up. I scored gambit.
Round 2. I let him go first. He activates a Czerka I think, and I run my Uggie to the middle, and blow open the gambit room on my side, then, sadly I run Atton away 16squares to save him from the Volley of attacks. He takes out my Uggie, and then its positioning again until the end of this round. He gets everyone in gambit, and has them all in The Bubble. I run Revan in, and swap in Kaan, who runs and gets adjacent to Embo and Talon. I made a decision, and went to put 60 on Embo rather than 40 on Talon. Thinking I could just kill Embo right here. BUT, I forgot Talons CE! We both get gambit
Round 3, I go first, He runs Embo 8 squares away, so no way for Kaan to get to him, but I had Atton in a spot where he could see Talon, took my chance, and Shot Talon with Atton, bang bang, and he died. I thought I was doing good, but then he activated my Kaan, and almost killed him, but I survived with 10 HP left. He uses Mara and actually kills my FS, to help with the Thought Bomb save. More shots are fired at random places, Atton takes 40, and more positioning, until the next round. We Both got Gambit
Round 4 I win init again. I have the XT set nicely, so I run Atton 6 sqaures drop 80 on Morrigan Corde, sack the XT, and then Thought Bomb. And with that, I kill the Czerka, Blizz, and drop 40 on Miraa.Amanoa takes 40 as well. He kills Amanoa with Mara, andthen kills Atton with Mira. I kill Mira with Revan. He gets gambit
Round 5. I win inti, run Revan in and drop 60 on Mara. He does 20 to Revan with Embo. We both get bambit
Round 6. I win init, and then kill his R7 and Mara which gave me 198, and then at the end of the round I got gambit, and completed the victory.
208-166
This game was bloody from the start. Shots were being fired from all over. Grenades were thrown. Thought Bombs were Thought. Lightsabers were swung. It was everything I could want for a match. Thank you again for a great match. And I look forward to seeing everyone else's gmes

Agreed Shmi, great fun! At least I gleaned a point in the loss. Side note: If anyone knows a way to allow more than 2 in on a Facebook Messenger call, post it. It will make watching matches a little easier for the observers. I know my son was watching and both Shmi and I were concentrating on the game and couldn't really comment on the proceedings.
