Hello everyone, I saw these at walmart going pretty cheep, and I bet they would make good bases to start making custom pieces (just add some putty etc etc and paint) they are as far as I can tell roughly 28-32 mm in scale. They are metal but I figured that might not hurt those of you that make custom pieces. Here is the mfg site: http://metalsdiecast.com/I hope you find this somewhat useful

darn, it's like those stupidly slightly too large Star Wars command figures. though, some of them might be alright for heroclix (recent heroclix anyhow hehe).

Although the Star Wars command Rancor and Jabba the Hutt that came in the Jabba package are pretty good especially the rancor.

@gholliSixNine-er yeah, true, those were great; I did pick up a couple rancors. and the Wampa was fairly close to the WotC wampa. the average rank and file though, they were ~3mm too large.
tangenting to other scale pet-peeves; These new Legion minis... the BattleDroids and scrap droids are alright, though the regular troopers are again, a little too large.
